Hands-on with Sony Ericsson's new reflective flip, the Z555

Second in Sony Ericsson's triumvirate of handsets announced today, the W555 brings fashion, gesture control, glossy gold and black to 2008. In typical Sony Ericsson clamshell style the handset is on the largish side, offers nice big keys for all your phone work, a decent and bright internal screen coupled with a nice external OLED jobbie. man it's 2008 now, look at the size of the screen, it's hopeless. why can't someone make a 480*854 bravia/aquos/viera phone outside of Japan.

"Refelective" Well put it this way...On a sunny day of daily driving, Suddenly this phone rings, before you decide to flip open, it will put a "refelective" sunlight to your already sensitive eyes.Than therefore you die in horrible crash with a massive delivery truck full of PS3 systems aboard.

cheap .. tacky ... small screen ... plasticky looking body ... can't believe they are actually 'launching' this product and not merely slipping it quietly into the market with BOGOF offers ...

You know, not everyone wants to spend the amouth of money it costs for a high end phone. This is just a typical incrementional upgrade to the "fashion segment" that changes cellphone every X(X) months and chooses something that looks nice and does the basic stuff they actually use.

It is slipped quietly into the public by beeing released on CES together with a TON of other stuff.
