We've always been fairly positive about Samsung's
UbiSync USB-secondary display tech, but after checking out the new
2263DX 22+7 LCD in person, we don't think we'll be ditching our dual 24-inch setup anytime soon. The 2263's secondary LCD is mounted on a rotating, extendable arm, which lets you move it from the side to the top of the main 22-inch screen in either portrait or landscape orientation, but the Samsung reps weren't exactly forthcoming with max USB video bitrates. It's still pretty slick, though, and if you've always got a relatively static email or media player window open, definitely worth checking out in our gallery.

It would be great for desktop publishing. Put all of your tool bars and such on the 7" display and keep your design area clutter free.
If only it were 24".

well its Samsung they will have a 24" version sooner or later...

I bet this is way cheaper than using a 22" monitor + a 15" monitor. I mean, I just saw a deal for a 1024x768 15-incher that ran close to an entire FIFTY BUCKS. It's a good thing the 7" is around; I don't know what I would have done with those 8 extra inches of diagonal space.
(The 7" screen uses USB? Seriously, if someone is going to buy a 22"+7" setup, I'm guessing they have a video card that has at least two outputs. Mega-fail)

All the fun of two monitors in one convenient, cheap(ish) package?
I used to rock out with two monitors, and Im going back to it the second I can grab another cheap video card. I loved it, and I miss it so much.
If you can, use two monitors. Its shown to make you more efficient.

It might actually prove good for making portable consoles. Though most of the consoles you make portable don't need much of a resolution.
You could make something portable.

This is a bit lame, i've been running multi-monitor setups for years. The only difference here is that one of them is a 7" monitor. Honestly, what are you going to do with a 7" panel? Plus with the price premium i'm assuming this monitor will have, i could probably pickup a 22" samsung monitor and an additional 17" samsung panel.
As for USB support, anyone can go to futureshop/bestbuy and pick up a FX5200 for like $50, which sports dual outputs for our multimonitor setup.
