IOGEAR and DisplayLink are here with
the second wireless USB demo at CES. This time, we've got an adapter that adds multiple "high-resolution" displays via a WUSB connection between laptops, desktops and their WUSB enabled monitors. IOGEAR's new WUSB to VGA Video Adapter supports "instantaneous mouse and keyboard movements" with output resolutions as high as 1680 x 1050 pixels and 16.7 million colors -- presumably less (they don't say) as you add multiple displays. Expect the Wireless USB Graphics Adapter (UGA) to be commercially available by mid 2008. We don't have a picture yet, but it's likely to look a whole lot like the DisplayLink reference design you're looking at to the right.

Hackers cracked the wireless keyboard standard, this WILL be cracked sometime soon.
Nice Idea so those hax0rs will watch my sister play Barbie all day. Annoy them to hell.

if they try to target this at gamers, like that other one was, it is going to fail miserably. gamers dont want wireless keyboard lag much less wireless monitor lag.
oh and it will fail if its priced over $50.

I can imagine 5 years from now simply clicking a few buttons to have my laptops screen appear on my tv-lcd,.. and it'll be great. but by no means will I be an early adopter of this.
I'd love to use it if it's included for free(laptop has it, lcd has it...), but I won't be paying for it.

I kinda have this now. I dock my Dell laptop (aka putting it on the table), and its screen shows up on the LCD. I want to use the other computer (Mac Mini), I double-click CTRL. I currently see no need to go wireless, and would hate to have to use it in an environment with multiple computers and screens.
