Damn my 4 gig sandisk cruzer micro seems small now.
"Sandisk announces boring things, more boring stuff"
They should have lumped these in with the updated Sansa models announcement.
The thing about the 8GB Cruzer is you can load it with a dual layer DVD ISO and visit your friends. :)
Uh, 32+32 != 72; 16+16+16+16+16 != 72;
Hmm, my power of 2 calculator doesn't have a way to get 72.
I guess you could do 64 + 8, but that would be blasphemy.
Uh.. 32+32=72? Damn you must give really bad tips.
That exclamation point is not there for show. :]
Why do a 72GB version?? Skip over the weird version and develop a cheaper 128GB SSD already!!! I don't need more than that for my laptop!! Then make a nice 500GB SSD for Desktops!
for now, if we could even get affordable 64 gig ssds it would be.. to say the least, nice, but until then don't expect 128s to drop (at all) for a little while, say mid 2008? projection ok? no?

I know, I know... Who am I kidding, SSD's already cost an arm and a leg... The cheapest SSD I've seen in 128GB is a one on Newegg for over $3k!!
yeah, i've seen the 4000 one before and i almost imploded
but think about it, the way hard drive prices came down, its almost guaranteed to happen (eventually)
damnit sorry about double :( stupid me.
The funny thing, Zach, is that when you apologize for having double-posted, you end up wasting twice as much of everyone else's time as you did with the original double post (and here I am with the triple). Don't worry about it -- everyone assumes it was an accident, and moves right along.
I heard them new-fangled 72GB SSDs would be found in the oft-rumored ultra-portable MacBook.
if that is true then it'd be called the iLisa. Too expensive for most to afford!
