Wow, engadget. Way NOT to inform us of what this thing is about. Bad story.
Sorry?...lost me after "Circuit-bending dynamo..."
This clearly has nothing to do with Windows fan boys. This is actually a really interesting DJ hacker. The music is his. The visuals are just visuals. The spinning beach ball of death visual is just a play off of modern geek culture and has nothing to do with Windows.
You really need to read the Make interview and watch the video. I fast forwarded most of it. The ending shows other visuals. The guys website has some interesting sound clips made from hacked up Game Boys and other console games.
It actually IS interesting especially when you consider that this is "us" in the social sense. The music is immediately familiar as video game music/sounds but different because it is hacked up.
This is a good post, but loose the Windows vs Mac crap. My Macs all run Windows now and I actually fire it up once and a while. The Windows vs Mac debate is no longer relevant. The debate is now Apple's policy that OS X only run on their hardware.
OK. I guess I must be one of the few who doesn't understand what the bunk this video is all about. Didn't make a lick of sense to me. The weird music just adds to confusion, like I'm watching "Rubber Johnny" inside some strange German disco.
So some guy makes an "Apple Mac BBoD Icon" and a "Firefox "Loading" Icon" from physical objects he has around his home. Yeah, OK... so what? I fail to see the relevance, or where the humor or biting comeback is found in all of this.
"News flash! Somebody tripped over a piece of lint. More at 11."
