Keepin' it real fake, part CIV: BlueBerry gets blatant on RIM's trademark

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
RIM's TRADEMARK, not copyright, and since this isn't a phone, it could be argued there's no problem. Then again some Blackberries have GPS so its off to the law-speaking-guys!
I have a feeling the complaint would have more to do with the similarity of the logo design than the actual devices they're making.
PSM : only if it's found to confuse customers into thinking this is a Blackberry product.
You're right about the whole copyright / trademark thing -- I wasn't around when this went up, sorry about that.
It is pretty blatant, though -- the test for trademark infringement is "likelihood of confusion," and this seems like it would meet all the factors:

WHY do people keep putting that swoosh clip art beside their brand names?
Hey it works for Nike!
I use it on all my logos. Executives demand it. Also it can be animated very easily, which is nice for video.
iDon't iKnow, iBut iThink iIt's iA iTrend.
BlueBerry, BlackBerry, Apple....
Inspiration from the produce department?
I'm holding out for iLettuce or eArugula
Can't wait till someone releases the Cumcumber. I just don't want to know what sort of device it would be...
That or the eZucchini.

Another bewildering post from AOL's mass media blogs.
We're not mind readers. Do you see Waldo or something?
Copyright infringed or not - there is nothing we can do about it in the US...China's government doesn't enforce our copyrights so anything is fair game over there. For god's sakes, China's companies copy items as large as CARS...put a BMW face on it with a Mercedes rear - its absolutely madness.
Fashion Electronics' website is a joy to behold. It's like a lower-middle quality MySpace page.
Oh, I ventured there too. Wow * * that's some fancy fashion!!!
blink blink
EVERY MySpace page I've seen has looked like that, or worse. Sometimes much worse. (I could list off all of the obligatory atrocities of a MySpace page, but I'm sure you all know them.) I wouldn't call their page "lower-middle" quality -- by MySpace standards, it's the best page I've ever seen!
I especially liked their MP3/MP4 players, looked vaguely familiar...
"Is that clear enough for you? Because if it's not I could of course text you on my Blackberry, or my Blueberry or my Chuck Berry, although technically Chuck Berry is a black berry."
... who have toast?
I thought it said Blu Ray at first glance.
