Palm's GSM Centro spotted in white

Yeah, there it is, a shiny white Palm Centro in a booth for all to see, I'm sure Palm will be ever so delighted about this. Apparently an accessory vendor put it out to display some of its wares on the show floor and the gents at TreoCentral were there to catch it live. Adding insult to this slip up is that fact that the handset is a GSM model that you see there my friends, and interestingly it is different then the AT&T branded Centro we saw a while back. More on this as soon as we can get our grubby mitts on it.

Why is it branded as a Treo instead of a Centro?
not trying to plug a different website or anything but www.celluloco.com is selling these ( Palm Treo 500V ) for 598.88 unlocked on the GSM network.
That's a different phone. The 500v is WM, not Palm OS, and the handset design is different.
That would do very nicely. Can I have it now please Palm?
Us Palm starved users been waiting for ages for a new phone and my Treo 650 is just about knackered after serving me exceedingly well for three years.
Kevin: you're confusing the WM version with the much anticipated Palm OS version.
hey deja vu!

It is different than even the RECENT pictures of the white AT&T branded Centro:

And why are the silver buttons so tiny on the CES one? That has to be a pre-production model.
Why is this phone getting so much attention, I am still waiting for my TRUE next-gen Treo, where is Linux? Where is the next-gen Palm OS? Palm, I used to love you!
Well it's nice to see that Palm is trying again. Now if only they could give us this godly OS, and release the Foleo as a Lightweight Linux Notebook with good palm support then they might stand a chance of regaining their status.
*yawn*
Another lackluster design from Palm. Par for the course at this point.
It's branded as a Treo because it's not a Centro. I bet if you held a Centro next to it, the size comparison would clear things up at least.
...or I might also have no clue what I'm talking about. :)

It's the same design and size except for the silver buttons. The Centro is technically the Treo 690 and its prototypes were branded as Treos. Who knows what they'll call this one, but it will still be a Treo underneath whatever name they choose to try to make it seem more fun.
Woohoo! I love my trusty 650, but it's too big, and is pretty ancient at 3 years old at this point...
I think I just upchucked my dinner.
What's the difference? And why would I f???ing care?
