That guys inability to talk without moving his hands is a bit disturbing
Hah! I actually do that, move my hands whilst talking. God knows why, it is just something that happens subconsciously. But, talking about the article, I wouldn't mind one of those!
I have no problem with moving hands while talking - but not while your holding stuff.
Yeah i'd like one of these printers but i'd want to see how it handles text first.
Cute...especially when you consider the fact that like with most things "Polaroid" the price will drop down to $75 in no time due to the fact that nobody will be buying it.
im sold
I couldn't watch the whole video because of that guy, honest!
Hinke
Aren't we moving away from photo printing?
Every DAP nowadays features some type of picture viewer.
We've got digital photo frames.
We've got digital photo albums.
We share photos insstantaneously with our friends (and with the CIA) online.
While I understand the neccessity of having film development shops at walgreens to print photos for photo frames, personal mobile photo printing feels like its time has come and gone.
I bought a Poloroid P500 photo printer back in 2002

It was a cool device but store printed photos looked so much better and I ended up getting rid of it on Ebay.
One should never name a product that rhymes with "stink"...
then the word sink would become a paradox...
Was that Belmont in that video? She looked hot in that vid.
Good light-Bad light

I need a larger printer format before I would consider it for Law Enforcement use.
Ok, she is kinda cute.
But back to the technology... I would think that $150 is too expensive. If this thing has a $60-80 price point, I could see it taking off.
Seems to me the 30 cents per (small) print would be more troublesome over time.
At least its quite small.. a tad thicker than a 2.5" hd case... I think this would be useful if u're visiting a heap of relatives (as in seeing them only 2 days then moving on).. u can just print the foto and leave a copy with them before you leave... and it looks to be quite easy to use.. not everyone knows how to manage fotos on a computer, but print film is so expensive compared to digital.. ok i'm rambling.. time to sleep..
Polaroid continues to reinvent itself. I posted on their pretty powerful refresh in November:http://storageeffect.com/2007/10/31/polaroid-and-the-digital-home/
veronica's yummy, printer's yummy... the two together.. less the clothes, yummy
If this were able to replace print-your-own-photo kiosks, the price of the unit and its consumables would be entirely justifiable. 3"x2" photo stickers at a minute each, though? It's just pointless right now. When it's down to 10 seconds per print at full size, then it'll be just about useful.
Ok, back to Belmont. Is Ryan Block really hitting that?
I would love it if he came into this thread and replied: H3llz Yeah!
lol!
U so want to get one of these things!!! As long as it has both bluetooth and a memory card slot, I'm getting one when it comes out. Along with a crapload of paper for it.
pair that thing with a camera and package it in classic polaroid style. for $150, that thing is worth the money. My mother prints photos all the time, she frames them and gives them as presents and the cost of ink is exorbitant. one of these little printers is a fun gadget that would make a great addition to my laptop bag.
i'd also like to see a little larger format, something suitable for on-the-go document printing. doesn't have to be full sized, but like a half sheet would be cool.
At 30cents a print Holy crap and its not even 4x6 get it down to a NICKEL a print and you MIGHT have something.
at 30cents a print its almost 3 times more expensive than actual emulsion prints and more than twice as expensive as an inkjet print using OEM ink and 5-10 times as expensive as inkjet using NON OEM ink.
30cents a pops just too much.
