Netgear's WNDA3100 RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB adapter spotted in FCC
Nothing too earth-shattering here, but it seems that those in the market for a dual band Wireless-N USB adapter could benefit from holding off just a wee bit longer. Netgear's forthcoming WNDA3100 has found its way into the FCC's doors, and while it doesn't look to speak with aliens or any other fancy stuff, it does support WEP and WPA / WPA2. Way too excited about this thing? Hit up the read link for test photos and a preliminary user's manual -- that ought to quell your inexplicable curiosity, right?

With my experience with this technology thus far (installed about 20 units or so, plus about 40 N adapters), I have found that it doesn't seem to matter if it's "draft" or not!
The cost is as low on market entry as the high end G units (no pun there :P)
You will find that it's nothing like the newest cutting edge technolgies in the price aspect.
Netgear is the first to release dual band N technology (see their site for the adapters and routers). Most of the regular retail shops like Future Shop/Best Buy/Staples, etc. will not be carrying this level of technology for some time (they're a bit slow on the uptake of bleeding edge technology).

I was fortunate to be able to use this in a beta test. it's really a pretty good dongle. The range was very good and I had zero problems with it.

I'm having no problem with my home Wireless G setup. I'm going to wait maybe a year or so until a Wireless N network solution is brought to the table by Netgear that has been thoroughly tested and fixed for bugs. I'm dissapointed the PS3, 360 and Wii don't have wireless N adapters built in but, again, I've had no troubles with my G setup.
