Just curious of opinions on whether or not a "new" iPhone really will be announced this coming week?
CES blew ass this year.
Too much vaporware and shit that wont ever come out.
MacWorld is full of shit that you will see in a store. I say that as someone who never bought an Apple product.
But they dont push smoke.

That is what MacHype makes you to believe. At MacWorld you'll see on average 2 new desktop models, 1 new laptop, 2 new gadget models and if you are lucky - one new type of device (once in 5 years) and yes.. - a lot of Steve :-) At CES, more stuff is announced every hour (only counting .models that you will see at stores).
Why don't they just cancel CES '09?
There's no way they'd close CES. If the Chicago move is true, they'll be much bigger next year. As it stands now, it's too damn expensive to stay in Vegas and attend CES. 500-1000 a night for a room? No thanks, I'd rather blow all that on Chicago Pizza :)
500-1000 a night? Jesus, go down a star, cheap hotels aren't that bad.
Luxor, and Excalibur hotel are reasonably cheap, while still being reasonably nice. So yeah that is on option. Unless you are forced to stay at the Mandalay Bay when attending CES.

Well the most important question about CES moving to Chicago is ... is the porn convention that usually accompanies CES moving there with them???

i demand that every electronic company, such as sony, hp, dell, toshiba, fujitsu, gateway, general electric, maytag, and any ther company which produces products that run on electricy should SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY and let apple make all of our electronics which we depend on each and every day.
Since everyone in the whole world agrees that apple is the king of electronics.

My Mac Pro isn't white. iPod Nanos don't come in white since 2nd generation. Hack, the entire new iPod line don't come in white. New iMacs don't come in white. iPhones isn't white. What the hell are you talking about? Apple has moved on, your old jokes hasn't.
Paint? Paint? No Difference? That's one difference Apple insists. NO PAINT. You'll never see the day of Apple giving plastics metallic paint to look more "gadget-y", "modern", or whatever the stupid reason like the rest of crop. You know, those paints that wears off to make your recent purchase look like decades old.
Apple started that whole colorful translucent plastic thingy, everyone followed. Then, Apple started that transparent polycarbonate with inside white thingy ( to make the polycarbonate look like a thick coating ), and everyone just started to make things in white. Now, Apple is making stuff in aluminum, and you were sayin?

I don't see why it matters if Macworld overlaps. It's an event, you get more gadgets to gawp at (hey, that's why we're here, no?) and it's not Apple's own event. Also, Mac is an entirely self contained product, so why launch it amongst a load of cheap PC tat, chinese-knockoffs and home entertainment products?
All this really means is that you can't have Veronica every post from Macworld and CES.

they did it so gizmodo would have something to cover next year while everyone else is able to go to ces :P
Forgive my ignorance, but what is all this fuss about Apple and their Macworld? Whatever Mr. Jobs has it will never change our lives forever as the thousands of new things that were announced in CES. Everyone are oversizing Apple, what's Macworld compared to CES? NOTHING! Am not a fanboy of any other company, but am seriously annoyed by all those Apple fanboys, for the love of "Put the name of anything you worship\love here", the glossy effect Apple popularized is disgusting, their iPhone sucks, their iPod is not the best music player in the market, and their line of desktops and laptops is way overpriced (maybe because you can use it for other purposes beside computing, making your omelet for example when it overheats).
Apple as a company is bad, not just consumer's definition of all commercial firms being bad, but they do many mistakes (Steve Jobs: "Music companies FORCE US to add DRM, we don't want that", yeah right!) or maybe ("It is ok to sell something 30% more of the price it is sold by other brands just because it runs some animal nicknamed OS" which of course you can't use to run most of the software available world wide), they just have a smart marketing team and a cult following them who are ready to shot themselves if Stevie announced a 1 TB glossy army green iPod for those to use in the afterlife.
- Am so sorry for being full of rage, but this Apple VS the whole world's companies things is crazy, Steve, if you are reading these lines, do not park your car in parking lots designated for people with disabilities, it is not funny!.

GOD, I'm a tard... thought it said Feb 9th, not Friday the 9th... jeez, 30+hours up does amazing things for the eyes... sleepy time
