You mean the bottom that's gonna be for grinding and rail slides etc etc? I can now only do nose or tail grinds? SAD!
I have a better idea - I PATENT THIS RIGHT NOW SO YOU CAN'T - put in a little generator in the wheels or trucks that powers up the LEDs! so you don't have to worry about smashing the underside of your board and rupturing the thin cell :]
If you make one with my idea, send me a free one every time there's an update.

Now if they would only make them in color and add them to coats and jackets.
The next fashion rage!
Better yet, they would be great in color and on an outfit to impress them at the disco.
hmmm...
Maybe we could just attach them to our shirtless bodies for an all night beach party
Mic2000 @ Jan 13th 2008 5:47AM
I never saw a dude in the disco skateboarding

I'll buy it if they make a version with alternating rainbow LEDs that flash...

Nothing says Beat Me Up like going to the skate park with a dinky skateboard.
Charlie Calhoun @ Jan 13th 2008 6:48AM
I'm fairly certain that just asking them using words could do it too, that way nothing says "beat me up" like saying "beat me up"...

When I saw the pic and the article I thought, that's crap, like an outdated Santa board.
Then I clicked through the links to the official website and pictures and I though holly crap!
Some designs really do look awesome, and it looks the possibilities are endless. Cool indeed, I can't wait to see a guy(or a girl, not that I would mind) on one of these at night.

Photon Light Boards, eh?
That's a... courageous... choice of product name.
(Photon Micro-Lights, http://www.photonlight.com/ , have been the premiere brand of keyring LED lights pretty much since the invention of the keyring LED light. Looks like an open and shut trademark case to me.)

Speaking of which, how about my segue?

These boards look just like the onces from that Rocket Power episode with Tony Hawk. Originality is gone.
Tipper @ Jan 13th 2008 1:51PM
or build the led lights into the riser pads (between board and trucks) to avoid damage. love the generator idea!!!!!!!
Don @ Jan 14th 2008 1:02PM
If anyone rode risers, then that might work.
This is a pretty dumb product, but I would like to see someone ride vert with one of these in low light... tres flips would look pretty neat.
APPLES @ Jan 13th 2008 9:51PM
i would deffinetly ride
Id be pimpin
Oinquer @ Jan 14th 2008 11:59AM
yep...i would ride and be Beat up after eheheh...
maybe with lesser LEDS...that looks like a Christmas tree...lol
nutbastard @ Jan 14th 2008 3:28PM
... because everyone wants to add weight and lameness to their board while forgoing high quality components by purchasing a complete setup with lights on it.
who makes these things, NASH?
