SkullCandy shows off MP3-playing Double Agent headphones
It's not like we haven't seen MP3-playing headphones before -- heck, we've even seen 'em from SkullCandy itself -- but the latest pair from the aforementioned firm simplifies things quite a bit. Quietly showcased at CES, the Double Agent cans sport a built-in SD slot and the typical assortment of controls on one earcup in order to take the external DAP / PMP out of the equation entirely. 'Course, we wouldn't recommend this to those who aren't fond of just shuffling through their tracks, but if you're aiming to consolidate, you can get one step closer to doing just that when this ships in March / April for a currently undisclosed price.

SC is expencive IMO, i'm going to venture a guess and say this will cost more than a shuffle :\
but whatever, i'm happy with my music playing setup.

Skull Candy is indeed expensive, even with non-mp3-playing headphones, so these have got to be ridiculously priced. However, since trying a pair a while back I must say that the cheesy brand name is very deceptive in making you believe the quality will suck. Best pair of headphones AND earbuds I've ever owned. No Bose, sure, but damn good sounding and damn comfortable.
Hopefully their ever evolving product line will keep them from going belly up anytime soon. I never see anyone buying their products other than myself and roomie.

Skull Candy is crap. Overpriced, like Bose, but as you noted, completely lacking any quality, unlike Bose.

Unfortunately, SC is more of a fashion statement for the angst-filled goth kids than a good quality product.

@Gus There more like streetwear than goth. I often see many of their headphones in a Jamaican flag theme (ala Bob Marley), and are marketed in Dj and street couture magazines.

I have heard skullcandy and thought they were just a bad headphone...I didn't even think overpiced....maybe that is because the cheapest pair of headphones I would ever use are the Sennheiser PX100 at a price of around $40.

Tell your dad I will send him my last walkman for 5 bucks WITH am/fm radio at no additional charge.

I picked up a pair of Skull Candy ear buds a while back and couldn't be happier. They sound great and are super comfortable. Yea they are geared torwards teens but good headphones are good headphones. The best part I got them for 13 bucks. I'm pretty interested in this MP3 player.

good battery life, reasonably lightweight and add in that "skull crusher" bass (SC has that in one of their headphones)...then I'll get it without a doubt
