I got it downloaded already and was updating. The update failed and now it told me to restore my iPhone. But iTunes is saying "The iPod software update server could not be contacted.".So I'm sitting here with a dead iPhone right now.
Oh, to note. My iPhone was not hacked in any fashion (no jailbreak or anything).
I'm in the same boat. I just want to play with the wiggly icons!
Same here. I wouldn't have started this if I knew that the install process itself required Apple's servers. Is this a new step?
Exact same thing happened to me!
iTunes was finally able to connect and the restore worked just fine. My iPhone is now loaded with 1.1.3 goodness!
