Hello Kitty AR-15 assault rifle makes you wish it was Photoshopped
If the Disintegrator had you quivering in your combat boots, we'd recommend grabbing a bullet proof vest and having a seat for this one. Apparently, a fellow in California has dressed up a (legal) AR-15 assault rifle in Hello Kitty fashion for his better half, and while it'd be way too easy to pass this off as a fantastic Photoshop job, the pictures awaiting you in the read link definitely prove otherwise. Cute never looked so evil.

hamster huey and the gooey kablooie!
Ya really do have to wonder about the legality of making a real weapon look like a toy.
This is my Weapon, This is my Gun
This is for Killing, This is for Fun.
Some states have laws against, some dont. Firearm loaw vary greatly from state to state.
No I refuse to see some one turn such a good rifle into crap.
So I declare that it is OBVIOUSLY photoshopped.
I choose not to believe anyone with a Zune avatar.
Haha very funny. Nothing wrong with the Zune, it's a good PMP.
I'm sure I could have gotten something "better" for my money, but they probably wouldn't have looked as good.
Who would carry around a pink gun. What a fa[bang]
Idiot. I hope no kids will see this gun. EVER. Oooo, look at me, pick me up, I'm a toy!
Bet she:
http://www.yikers.com/video_the_littlest_sniper.html
would like one!
I don't know about you, but most people I know keep their guns locked up and disabled, when not in use.
Who's the idiot you are referring to?
Brian:
I dunno, maybe this guy? http://www.theage.com.au/news/world/cop-and-robbers-game-turns-deadly/2008/01/15/1200159408930.html
Or this guy? http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=5857103
Or how about this winner? http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/story?id=3958863
You know what? I could go on and on, but even one case like this is one too many.
Kids would still pick one up even if it wasn't painted.
@Brian,
Exactly. MOST people you know. Why not ALL?
Well I don't. Mine is chambered and cocked with the safety on. But then I don't have any kids. It doesn't do me much good in the event of a break in otherwise. Also, I'm more likely to have an accidental discharge while disarming it than if I simply leave it in the same condition I carry it in when I get home.
"Cute never looked so evil."
It's an AR-15, not a Sony product, Zune, Palm Foleo, or member of the RIAA. Let's not get carried away.
Imagine the headline "A burglar killed by HELLO KITTY rifle". I wonder what was the burglar thinking when confronted with this gun. Hmmmmmm........
Yeah, because someone that buys a gun obviously wants to use it for bad intent.
@Andir3.0
he wasnt saying that the robber had the gun. he was saying that the guy that had this killed the robber. get it right
How is protecting yourself bad intent? If someone breaks into my house I would certainly use a gun to protect my self.
yeah. because shooting a burgler is for bad intent..
Hey, at least _she_ won't lose her assault rifle when it's casually stacked with other rifles, unlike the Mac AirHead I mentioned earlier:

Although, anonymity may be compromised at the next police-sponsored gun buyback event.
This dude took a garden-variety AR-15 (however beautiful in its simple elegance) and turned it into functional art. Points for the ironic mashup, and points for the attention to detail. The pattern on the clip is mad tasteful. I wonder whether the paint on the barrel is heat safe, but overall this is kick ass.
I'm sure the people who died as a result of this gun will feel compensated by the fact it had Hello Kitty on it.
Who has this gun killed?
What about all those kids who have lead poisoning from a painted toy? Just because it's a gun doesn't mean it's for killing.
Umm... there's something I forgot to tell you guys...
*hides Hello Kitty gun*
You might want to leave right about now... umm... *runs*
Andir3.0, you can wave your hands and say it isn't true all you want, but guns are weapons and weapons are made for killing. It is people that forget that who have the accidents and incidents that make responsible gun owners look like idiots. When you hold a gun, for the safety of yourself and others, you have to have it in your head that you are holding a machine made to kill.
Clubs are weapons and I'm sure the cavemen didn't form the stick into a club to play baseball with it. However, the tool exists today and is used for entertainment and enjoyment.
There are more people killed each year by vehicle related injuries than guns and they were not designed with killing in mind. What does that tell you?
It tells you that when you are driving a car you should also be acutely aware of its death dealing nature. Just because A is less dangerous than B doesn't take away from the fact that A is dangerous.
I wouldn't put Hello Kitty on rat poison either, even though it has a very legitimate use. Lethal things should be marked as such.
Did ya zoom in to see that rear sight?
Lol!
Pure Awsomeness
Nothing surprises me anymore.
Does the ammo come in pink too?
No, it comes in pink with Hello Kitty engraved on it.
Girls that look and act like girls can't shoot? What the hell are you saying?
This is a lot of fun, but I see nothing wrong with it. My sister (24 years old) would love to add this to her collection.
@Brian,
Exactly. MOST people you know. Why not ALL?
That's like asking why the uneducated and/or poor have kids. They shouldn't, but they do. I guess it's just your right to do as you please.
Do they sell those at Sanrio stores? if so, how many stamps will I get or need to collect to get one? I hope it had matching bullets too. /sarcasm
Guys. Next time your GF / Wife says "Honey, we need to talk" RUN LIKE HELL!
lol i wonder if my AR would look so cool in a Voltron paint job
Lol, thought this was airsoft :)
www.nlairsoft.com
It shoots hugs and kisses!!
What is the use of the reply button in your daily life?
Its fun as fuck to fire? Thats the only reason people like me have them, is because we're collectors. You don't really hunt with them or anything else, you just like them, and have an interest in guns.
Vehicles are routinely used to transport people and goods.
What is the use of an assault rifle in your everyday life?
Hey, young girls and the Hello Kitty obsessed adults need protection to. (especially the Hello Kitty obsessed adults)
TASER should take note. They could sell a ton of them by slapping some Hello Kitty stickers on their products.
Lol. I wouldn't be caught dead with that thing, though it is for his significant other... However, I'll just leave mine black.
In what way would this AR-15 not be legal? It seems you're referring to the legality of it before it was dressed up. If I could bury the story I would for that simple fact.
California has a lot of funny laws with assault weapons. They can only have certain sized clips, the clip must be difficult to remove (has some sort of special button to eject it), and they have some weird regulations on if it can have a retractable stock/pistol grip/bayonett lug. That would be my assumption as to what they meant by the legality of it.
All AR-15s are legal in every state, without a specific license, if I do recall correctly. The AR-15 is built as a semi-auto for civilian use, and those are the only ones that civilians can legally get their hands on, without a license.
