The keyboard, is obviously made by the latter.

I have heard of niche markets but thats going a little overboard. I was unaware they had goth's in Japan.

Oshean is correct.... there is a huge "Goth" following in Japan referred to as "ゴスロリ".... most closely "Goth-loli" in English..... it's difficult to walk down the strip in most major Japanese cities without running into them.

john you were unaware they had goths in Japan? Are you kidding? Japanese goths look fantastic, like everything the Japanese do you have to give them massive points for style.
Erm, I actually bought a keyboard for a goth girl as a birthday present last year (I broke her old keyboard with red wine lol). I wouldn't of bought this, it looks pretty ugly, though I'll get her to have a look see what she things. I bought her that saitek keyboard that glows red through they keys, she loves it.
Right, because obviously the one particular "goth" girl you know is the style arbiter on anything labeled "goth" and therefore her opinion ends all argument.

I just thinks it looks pretty ugly, I realise these things are highly subjective, but I think you'd struggle to find even 'a goth' perspective that disagreed. But hey whatever.

well. dunno about goths. but i have a couple of metal friends that might get a kick out of these accessories. as long as they dont see that its referred to as a "goth" keyboard.
Hmm biz idea.. I'll buy some cheap keyboards and glue crosses, virgin Mary and Jesus to it for the Right wingers. Maybe I could make a keyboard out of compressed hemp for the left.

That set-up wouldn't look out of place at Hot Topic next to the black candles and Marilyn Manson merch.
Kudos for the Cure reference! Perhaps they were only borderline goth, even as yesterday's standards go, but they sure got the ball rolling for all those goth bands later on...
oh, and this thing is quite ugly. I agree with Eric in the first post... only for a WoW fanatic. (and the few i know have better fashion sense than to buy this...)
how could this be for Japan only when it doesn't have a Japanese keyboard layout? for gaijin in Japan only? you should also check out the equally ugly matching speakers and webcam

Don't get me started on how commercialized and stupid the subculture I enjoyed when I was a teen in the early 80s has become...
My gripe today is that this is just a plain black keyboard with a cheap-ass, plastic Halloween graveyard decoration glued to it. That's all. I mean, if you're going to make a "goth" keyboard, then at least make the keys with a cool calligraphic font and make the USB cable striped or something.
This isn't goth. It's just Hot Topic lame.
This looks awesome, i would get it for s***s and giggles if not for the fact its wired...
