Nikon's Coolpix L18 for 8 megapixel point and shooting
Last up for Nikon this morning is their L18 compact point and shoot camera. Pretty decent, but standard specs here: 8 megapixel sensor, 3x Zoom-NIKKOR lens, 3.0-inch LCD, anti-shake AE (adjusts shutter speeds and ISO), face detection, and automatic red-eye correction. It also boasts a "TV quality" movie mode which we're assuming means VGA. Available this March for $140 in ruby red or navy blue.

ehh... nice shade of my favorite color (blue)... but not any better than the canon 630, 830, or 1000... 3" screen/3x optical... if it had 5x zoom (I've been spoiled by my kodak with 4x for over 2 years) then maybe.. shame, would make a nice little pocket digi.
Also Fujifilm has just launched a new camera:

uh... a prosumer camera link in spanish? thanks.. no. this story is about an entry level point-and-shoot that's 140 bucks. damn mexican't bots.
or is that Italian? whatever.... not something that 99% of the readers here can interpret (and I'm Italian)... either way, advertise your product elsewhere... if it's a big enough release, I'm sure engadget will do a story on it anyway.
I'm more impressed with how much coverage that Nikon is receiving on Techmeme than the camera itself. :)
@Prokanda
Take it easy bro... engadget is an international websit, not only for americans... I've just reported a link fot the Italian readers. No sponsorship AT ALL.
The link I've posted is just to inform that another competitor is releasing new cameras... that's it.
As u can see, no BOT.
Yup, just keep cramming in those megapixels...
