"Wireless Vibrating Grip" promises to make SIXAXIS rumble, money disappear
We know that there's plenty of folks out there eager to get their hands on Sony's rumbling DualShock3 controller, but we're hoping there's not many desperate enough to consider something like this contraption in the interim. Apparently known only as the "Wireless Vibrating Grip," the device rather obstructively attaches to your controller and presumably makes it vibrate with no rhyme or reason whatsoever at your command. Apparently sensing that wasn't enough of a selling point, however, the manufacturer which seemingly does not want to be named has also seen fit to throw an FM radio into the mix, which surely must have Sony reconsidering their whole controller strategy right about now.

Epic Fail
N64 rumble pack. lol
fail.
cant believe there is no masturbation joke bout this yet
Haha. Call me sick minded, but when I saw that it vibrated AT YOUR COMMAND, I thought, "hey, I'll buy this for my lady gamer friend for her birthday!" lol.
I just knew it. I knew when I was buying my PS3 that it was missing something completely crucial. I thought it was A-list launch titles, but clearly it was an FM radio for my controller.
Gentlemen, behold! I have designed sixaxis attachment to give users carpal tunnel!
If you can't feel your hands after twenty minutes of gameplay, then the device is working as intended!
FAIL.
I'd rather see a vibrator converted into a Wii nunchuck.
you must mean from a nunchuck, not into one...
No, I meant what I wrote. Imagine, you can get the uber-grip of silicone (not to mention the reduced of the flopinator hitting the TV vs. the normal unit) plus the built-in vibrator motor that you're not going to get with a standard Wii-mote.
Although, if you used some sort of wrist strap it would completely redefine the term "strap-on"...
"...reduced *damage* of the flopinator hitting..."
This is one of those things that makes me love engadget.
It's got a FM tuner.
They have obviously been listening to all the iPod haters.
Just an FM Tuner? Meh. Unless it has built-in GPS, a DAB TV tuner, NES emulation, Skype capability, and plays MP5 I'm not interested. Oh wait, it's just a controller. Nevermind.
That antennae will be broken in a matter of weeks...why no rubber flexible antennae instead?
And Why bother buying this when we can just wait for the SIXAXIS DS3?
I remember way back when rumblepads first came out for Playstation in Japan and I wanted one real bad. I'm glad I didn't buy one from the import store because the Japanese version started with one motor and later the US release version had 2 motors with refined sensitivity and redesigned joysticks.
Just be patient.
Why not just buy the PS3 DualShock3 controller from YesAsia or other vendor? I got mine a couple of weeks ago! It is great! Or you can wait until April when they arrive in the US.

I love the terrible grammar on packaging sometimes.... just cracks me up.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's no FM radio. It's an RF headset extender so you can play games without waking the family. The product packaging is probably just an engrish attempt at saying it uses radio frequency. Otherwise I'm gonna have to ask how you think they tune an FM radio with only a volume dial, and link and reset buttons. Motion sensitive tuning perhaps?
and I thought I hated the original six axis controller...
