Gateway sells crap. I know from personal experience. I am currently the proud owner of a Gateway piece of sh!t. Their customer service is bad, only to be beaten by their even worse products.
That sucks man, I've owned 3 Gateways and my family has several and we've never had any kind of problems whatsoever. I guess it's just the luck of the draw and I've came out lucky several times.
I owned the 2G blueberry iMac where the HD tanked before 2 years and cost me $250 to replace/lost everything. I ended up getting a Gateway desktop for about $1200 with the upgraded speakers/bass box. After 4 years I have not had 1 freaking problem.
Hey man, if Gateway is as reliable as Gateway 2000 was, you're all wrong.
I remember years ago we had two computers in particular. We had a 120mhz (that cost like, $4,000, haha) and later a 300mhz. Those things went so far above and beyond the call of duty it was insane. They were so beat up by the time we retired them it was a wonder they even turned on. But they did. I also have a couple of family members with Gateway laptops that are great, too.
Sorry to cause such a commotion on this. The only reason I currently own a Gateway computer is because I had such a great experience with a Gateway 2000 I used to own. But their current products are no comparison. I've went through 5 monitors in 8 months. And getting each one replaced that went bad was not a pleasant experience. I wish you luck if you own one or ever need to contact their "customer service".
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.

Well as long as you are basing your comments on such a vast sampling I can't argue with them...

So seriously, man. Don't grill.
