Nokia N95 8GB with US 3G passes FCC
We certainly can't guarantee that your wait for the US 3G version of the Nokia N95 8GB is nigh, but it did just pass through the FCC, meaning the last major hurdle to selling the things in the US is over. We don't blame you for gawking, just hang tight until Nokia drops the official word giving you occasion to lose somewhere close to a grand from your already badly abused bank account.

Yeah my bank acct is hit.
The N95 has lost its appeal to me. I'd rather have a phone with it's feature set and a (slide out?) Qwerty KB.
You mean like an E90?
If there was an E90 with US 3G, I would be all over it.
Having held one of these in person at the Chicago flagship store, I can tell you that it's a nice phone but not worth what they'll inevitably charge. It's definitely a great phone -- has several big advantages over an iPhone or BlackBerry Curve...but $500 isn't going to swing well with people.
@Cornelius
No. Definitely not the E90. I don't like the form-factor and I find it ugly.
Honestly, I just got my n95-3 and I couldn't IMAGINE being limited to 8gigs or without the ability to swap memory cards... it's really something very important to think about.
Also, for those wondering about the form factor of this phone, the internet pictures make it look huge. In-hand, it's very small, very light, and beautiful, as well as easy to set up.
It's an *extremely* powerful little machine.
I agree completely with your comments. I too have the N95-3 so that I can load as big of a MicroSD card as I want. The 16gb is in testing and the format is theoretically able to hit 32gb. Thats a lot of movies, music, podcasts, audiobooks, photos, videos and whatever. I love this phone because it is so much more than a phone.
What about a US3G E90 or N82.. any of those on the way?
im a sales rep for AT&T and we have a nokia sales rep who comes in a store once a month, the last time he came he had the nokia n95 and from the looks of it, this looks like a great device, i asked him whats the possibility of this phone coming to AT&T and he said theres a very strong chance that it will.

Too many crowded buttons at the bottom IMO.
Those buttons aren't the small buttons, in fact on the one I have which is the non-3gig, there is room to spare. It's the numeric keypad that's small... tiny actually.
does anyone know anthing about the launch date of T-Mo USA 3G? i'm tiring of seeing these 3G phones and having no ability to use them on T-Mo. it's ridiculous!
