Wow, clearly, its the box that's black. That black thing with the apple in the last photo probably has documentation or a cleaning cloth in it, its not the laptop itself.
The second pic isn't of the MacBook Air. It is of the folder containing the Documentation and CD's. Click on the read link to see all of the unboxing photos.
Why do you use the MBP? I bet you have use for the dedicated graphics, larger screen, faster processor, ability to add RAM, larger(?) HDD and extra ports.
Not everyone does. There is no point in forcing the MBP to compete with the MBA with your lame "MBP FTW" quote.
Sorry Big John, I only said that so the Hardcore Apple Fanboys wouldn't haze me and would know that I too have love for Apple...I just would never buy this machine and would never suggest someone else to.
That seems foolish. If they are looking for a second computer to do internet browsing, some word processing and not much else with form factor as an issue, you shouldn't just toss out the MBA. It's foolish to go into any recommendation tossing out any product because you simply don't like it.
WRONG. You need to wake up and accept the fact that not everybody is exactly like you, and that people's needs are different. I wouldn't buy one either, but that doesn't mean nobody will - it serves some people's needs just fine.
Gah...I didn't want to get into some big internet argument about it but you make it so tempting.
If people buy it...fine...never in my comments did I say anything about me going around busting kneecaps of every MBA buyer, I just said I would never suggest someone buy it. Come on, why not spend less money, and get a more powerful Apple. I just don't get it. It's extremely impractical and its only real marketable feature is that it is damn sexy looking.

It looks black. Must be the relfection of the box or something. That would look badass if it were black...
...but I still wouldn't buy one.
MBP FTW.
