Maxablaster mega-flashlight is a step away from lightsaber
You thought the goggles did nothing before? Shine the 38-million-candle Maxablaster (which, we hear, has been bumped up to 52m in a recent build) and watch as faces melt Raiders of the Lost Ark style under its concentrated mercury arc plasma bulb powered by a 54 battery pack. Right now it's just the pet project of a Dutch engineer by the name of Ralf Ottow, which is probably for the best, since this would be far more effective at boring holes in concrete than lighting any scene.

I saw a 35 Million Candle (IIRC) Light at Advance Auto Parts about 6 months ago. It was < $50. It looked just like this thing, except the main body (with the top handle) was yellow, and all the other pieces of plastic were black.
this is a modded flashlight with a mercury arc lamp. Nothing you buy is going to be even close to this lights strength. And good luck buying one, these things if produced would be so dang expensive it wouldn't even be worth it. Its really cool that he built he because he could, but only a really bored, rich guy would actually buy one.
"Sir, please step out of your vehicle."
"Officer, can you tell me what this is about? And can you shine that light away from my face- my eyes are sensitive..."
*officer shines light directly in eyes*
"All right, I'll be out. Lemme just get my... FLASHLIGHT, MUTHAFUCKA!!! SINCE YOU LIKE FLASHLIGHTS SO MUCH, HERE IS A PRESENT FROM FLASHLIGHT SANTA, BITCH!!!!!"
My God.... that was the comment of the week. I spewed my coke all over. That was funny as hell.
man i sure hope that is light and not a Ron Jeremy replacement.
Damn that's one crazy ass beam
Haha awesome. "Honey we're going camping."
This story is a complete fraud. Ryan Block just took this article straight out of Popular Science magazine. I'm looking at it right now. He plagiarized Popular Science's text and photo's!
So Ryan Block, which would you say you have more trouble doing:
a) Finding your own story.
b) Referencing a story and photographs when you take them straight
from another publication.
This is a very disappointing excuse for an "original" story.
Yes but the real question is, will it blend??
i..... want..... one.....
