Samsung's G810 smartphone does Symbian, HSDPA, the dishes
Nokia really ought to keep on eye in the rear view mirror these days, as its Korean competitor is slowly creeping up from the back with entries like its latest media-oriented smartphone, the G810 -- a successor to the G800. The phone breaks from Samsung's fascination with Windows Mobile and goes the Symbian route, also touting HSDPA data, a 2.6-inch QVGA display, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS functions, WiFi, 150MB of memory (plus a microSD slot), and Bluetooth 2.0. The new handset is expected to be introduced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, and will likely retail for around €580. available statewide - please wait for obsoletion to take hold.
Looks like a digital scale.
150mb?
For a media phone, even one that is expandable with mSD, 150mb is weak...
Given the price of flash memory these days, if i was going to get this phone, i'd pay the extra $100 they would charge to get it with 4gb of internal memory.
Sure, MicroSD is cheap enough, but still, i want a phone designed for media to acctually be able to hold media...
As if there are 4GB+ phones with microSD slot around? Currently, it's either huge internal memory or microSD slot... You remind me of one of my friends who kept dissing me for buying the N82 because it only has 100MB internal storage. You're not meant to use that space, but use the microSD...
$100 for 4gig ? thanks , i'd rather buy 4 gig card.
also the speed of internal memory sucks big time. & you're pretty limited in upgrade , dont know why people still care.

Keep an eye out for imitators. This phone sounds like a N95 knock-off. Nothing to look here.
What's with all that chrome on the lower end?
Is "GPS functions" more limited than having a GPS receiver inside?
I must be watching too my pr0n, every time I see SYMBIAN, I think seeing sybian.
how the hell did I get "my" in there instead of "much?"
How do I delete my account?
Are there really fools who will pay €580 for a QVGA phone??
In most countries you don't pay retail. You pay between $0 and $100 when you sign up for a contract.
No one has mentioned that it has 3X optical zoom along with xenon flash...
Surely that warrants some mention.
