Those looking for a bit more security than your standard off-the-shelf flash drive has to offer already have plenty of
options to consider, and they've now got yet another courtesy of Kanguru, which just introduced its new KanguruDefender Pro drive. Available in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB capacities, and in your choice of red, green, blue, tan and yellow "security colors," the drive boasts hardware
AES encryption, along with a tamper-proof aluminum casing and, of course, password-protection. Kanguru's also seen fit to throw in a couple of decidedly non-security related measures, including custom printing and engraving (at an added cost, that is). If that sounds like the drive for you, you can grab one now for $65, $85, or $130, depending on the capacity.
I think 4 GB of P0rn is all a man really needs...
...for about a week.
Will these be compatible with Vista? I have a 4GB Ativa with the u3 software and if you have it password protected it does not work on Vista.
Just buy PGPDesktop direct from Phil and use PGPDisk to create an AES-encrypted volume you can put on any flash drive:

Or create a truecrypt archive on your USB drive: http://www.truecrypt.org/
You don't have to be paranoid or storing porn to use crypto. Would you want someone looking at a USB drive you left on the bus - containing photos of friends/family, your personal docs?
**In an attempt to provide full disclosure, I want to state that I work for Kanguru Solutions.**
That said, I noticed this story and wanted to leave a comment.
Regarding the custom printing and engraving, these options are actually provided with security in mind. Many of our government and enterprise customers request tracking/serial numbers engraved on the drives for internal tracking. This allows them to assign drives to certain individuals and keep track of them. We also engrave information such as “If found, please return to…” All very useful!
