JUST TO UP THE DROOL FACTOR A BIT!
What are Femtocells?
A Femtocell is a small, low-power, self installed cellular base station optimized to deliver cost-effective coverage in the home and small office environments. Once installed in a customer's home, it enables the mobile operator to provide higher-quality and higher-performance wireless voice and real-time data services to their customers inside their homes. Today, 3G is the focus for Femtocell technology. The full 3G service set is delivered in the home from a small stylish device, which is connected to the mobile operator's core network using open 3GPP based standards via the consumer's broadband connection.

I wish T-Mobile would move toward a femtocell platform and away from the 802.11-based Hotspot @ Home business. I've come to terms with living in a cell phone dead zone now and really though H@H was the answer. But their lack of devotion to it starting to piss me off.
Or who knows... maybe they've been ahead of the game all this time. Maybe every cell phone will have a WiFi radio in it in three years.
