Newman's Valentine's Day DAP is so very appropriate
Isn't that cute? It's like two music players, but they make a heart! Oh, and look, there's a crack down the middle, it kind of looks just like two people kissing. Maybe you can stick the Juno soundtrack on there and give half this Newman DAP to that special someone. It's like giving a piece of your heart, only with plastic and silicon. What's that? She doesn't appreciate your finely honed taste in indie music? Well that's no problem, just glue the two players back together and look at what you've got: a broken heart. Yeah, we can tell that this February 14th will be one to remember.

No kidding. Has Paul had some relationship problems in his past?
Do you wanna talk about it?
George @ Feb 8th 2008 11:03AM
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
Nate @ Feb 8th 2008 11:26AM

Nick Stropko @ Feb 8th 2008 5:10PM
How else thinks the heart on the left looks like Jay Leno??
Adam @ Feb 8th 2008 11:08AM
I....wait, what? This is a good idea actually, but why make the thing so damn ugly? ::shrug:: looks like a pajama gram and a new Wii game for my sweetheart.

not a bad idea....I'd rather buy this for a valentine gift rather than the most obvious gift every woman wants.....some cholocate candy and sending/buying flowers..... jeez just old fashion/culture for me... TIME to try something new...huh?
farfisa @ Feb 8th 2008 11:21AM
Hey, if she didn't appreciate the flavoured condoms from last year, I can't see her liking this.
Johnny @ Feb 8th 2008 11:45AM
That's the funniest thing I've heard all week.
farfisa @ Feb 8th 2008 11:22AM
Oh wait... does it vibrate?
Smart People Play Tuba @ Feb 8th 2008 2:03PM
I'd rather find out . . . "Does it blend?"
Pretty sure it doesn't play "Doom."

If you can make up a decent enough excuse about why your Valentine's Day present is late, you'll find no shortage of these in bargain bins on February 15th.
Backlin @ Feb 8th 2008 11:39AM
The Zune had Valentine's Day covered first y'all. Remember Squirting?
Blaktornado @ Feb 8th 2008 11:43AM
The whole being single thing doesn't make me hate Valentine's day as much as crap like this does.
Johnny @ Feb 8th 2008 11:48AM
I have to admit that while it is probably a really crappy DAP, the design (especially the kissing couple in the crack) is creative and if you put mushy love songs in it, it'd probably be well received by most women.
BigBloke @ Feb 8th 2008 11:55AM
These people have way too much time on their hands...I am sure it will be a hit Japan where this stuff seems to sell.
Dude, actually this is great! You put all your Frank Sinatra records on it, and then give to your girlfriend. She then promptly tell you: It isn't an effing iPod Touch, so its over Loser!!
At least then you will finally get rid of her...
John @ Feb 8th 2008 11:54AM
There have been worse ideas... but I wouldn't suggest giving this to anyone who already has a DAP unless you want to find it in the trash the next day
o_rita @ Feb 8th 2008 12:02PM
If the price is right, think how many kids will by these to their "friends", listen to it for 2 days, put it in a drawer and forget about it.
Markus @ Feb 8th 2008 12:08PM
The chick's forehead is HUGE!
Derwin @ Feb 8th 2008 1:02PM
I agree. And is that Jay Leno on the left?
mmh @ Feb 8th 2008 1:50PM
Woah, you can actually tell?

And if you want to burn yourself,
REMEMBER THAT I LOVE YOU!
And if you want to cut yourself,
REMEMBER THAT I LOVE YOU!
acidscan @ Feb 8th 2008 2:00PM
To me it looks more like a broken heart not a couple kissing ... :)

SONOFABITCH! I didn't double post! Why is my comment up there twice?
DAMN YOU, ENGADGET! My first "Low Ranked" comment, and it's all your fault!
Brent @ Feb 8th 2008 2:24PM
I got money on this being your second low ranked!
Fear not, engadget removes double posts quite often.
Smart People Play Tuba @ Feb 8th 2008 2:28PM
Okay, fine. Maybe it's not my first. But it's the first one that wasn't intentional. The other "low rank"ers were just to piss people off. It worked. >:)
Brent @ Feb 8th 2008 2:49PM
I was actually talking about the comment which I replied to that is indeed now low ranked...
3rdsun @ Feb 8th 2008 2:42PM
this is great. I'll take two so to remind me how bummed it is being single
