First pics of CDMA BlackBerry Curve 8330 surface
We heard you poor souls loud and clear -- hoping, begging, praying for a CDMA Curve announcement during CES. Apparently, said device is on the way. According to non-blurry (gasp!) pictures over at BBGeeks, the CDMA Curve is rockin' a 8330 model number, integrated GPS, built-in camera and a temporary sticker on the back warning that what you're looking at is absolutely not for sale under any circumstances. Excited? You should be, now hit up the read link and take a peek.

Engadget really needs to have a sister thats strictly mobile phones and such. I'd call it EngadgetMobile
Ty @ Feb 11th 2008 1:39PM
Seriously. Every time there's some sort of convention I can't read Engadget for two days.
Tony C @ Feb 11th 2008 1:42PM
Ummmm... OK... http://www.engadgetmobile.com
Frank Furter @ Feb 11th 2008 1:44PM
@Tony C - you might look up the definition of 'sarcasm'.....
Tony C @ Feb 11th 2008 1:45PM
Gee. Thanks for that. You might want to read Ty's response, because I was replying to him.
Frank Furter @ Feb 11th 2008 2:35PM
Of course you were.

Your welcome.
Hung @ Feb 11th 2008 5:07PM
@ Frank Furter
You should probably look up "verbal irony" and determine the difference between it and sarcasm. Note: the words "biting" and "harsh" serve extremely important roles in distinguishing the two.
@ Tony C
Even if you were replying to Ty's response, you still failed. Your reply doesn't make sense.
I probably wouldn't be fail-correcting Frank Furter had he not incorrectly identified Superevil's verbal irony.

About time. Now let's just hope this comes to Sprint.
gibber9583 @ Feb 11th 2008 1:14PM
hope? its not a matter of hoping it comes to sprint....its a matter of when. This will hit VZW, sprint, and probably alltel
will @ Feb 11th 2008 1:11PM
no wifi, correct?
Jedix123 @ Feb 11th 2008 1:15PM
Seeing how bad Sprint is sucking it up, it would be wise for their new CEO to offer it first..
raptorspike @ Feb 11th 2008 1:16PM
Unless it has WiFi, no dice! Besides, Verizon will rip every quality feature from the phone as they have done in the past and are known for.
JackTwist @ Feb 11th 2008 2:42PM
Yep, I can't wait to see this on Verizon. They'll "test" it for a year release it in 2010 with the GPS crippled out so you have to buy VZ Navigator.
Allen @ Feb 11th 2008 1:19PM
I approve:
Of Superevil's comment.
Steven @ Feb 11th 2008 2:13PM
when when when when?!?!?!?!
i am tired of this keyboard on my vzw pearl!
Sean @ Feb 11th 2008 4:47PM
81xx: SureType consumer device; camera-enabled
83xx: QWERTY consumer device; camera-enabled
88xx: QWERTY business device; no camera, GPS-enabled
xx00: GSM device
xx10: GSM device; step-sibling upgrade of xx00 (Pearl and Curve only)
xx20: GSM+Wi-Fi device
xx30: CDMA/EVDO+GSM device
So it looks like all this is gona offer over the current 8830 on VZW and sprint is a camera most likely not wifi so the verizon version will be crippled gps and a camera pretty much not an upgrade but just more verizon ballshavings add wifi theyll have a winner if not just a pile of stinky ballshavings
Jeff @ Feb 11th 2008 4:49PM
*yawn*
I'm a bored sprint subscriber. :(
jason51873 @ Feb 11th 2008 5:10PM
BOOOOOORRRRRING.....
Jkswiss @ Feb 12th 2008 5:31AM
Well, I'm on Verizon and I'm stoked! I didn't want the Pearl and the other ones were too big or bulky. This is perfect for me.
