ZiPhone: jailbreak any version iPhone out of the box, including 1.1.3

We're not yet entirely sure how it works, but iPhone hacker Zibri's just released a new app he's calling ZiPhone, which claims to jailbreak any version iPhone -- including new 1.1.3 phones right out of the box -- without messy downgrades and baseband changes. We haven't tested it ourselves, but prepare for the onslaught of downloaders to take it offline in five... four... three...

Hey everyone! I hope I found a reliable page where people actually know what they are doing. I've been searching the web to find a way to downgrade my new iphone 1.1.3. I've had it a few weeks now and found a site that talks about Apps, games, etc I can donwload on my iphone. After many hours of searching I finally figured out i needed to downgrade to 1.1.1 and install Appinstaller. Then I'll be able to upgrade to 1.1.2 then 1.1.3 jailbroken iphone with all the latest apps, games, wallpapers, ringtones etc. Anyways I found another website who told me about ijailbreakmobile. I did all of his instuctions to downgrade and and upgrade adn ended up with a phone that wasn't functionable. I had to restore my iphone to factory settings and lost all my contacts. Which really pissed me off!!! But what do you do. Since I've gone this far I might as well keep looking for a site who can tell me exactly how to do this and know it will work. I think I found a good place here so if anyone can inform me of a good jailbreak method? I'm all ears!:)

I tried to jailbreak my iphone,
All was running well but it freezes on apple logo, I tried to reset it, but It still freeze on the apple logo ...
I plug it again and restart ZiPhone but now I stay on "searchinf for iphone" and nothing appends,


what shoud I do ?

I hope someone is still reading this thread. I've been thinking of buying an iPhone but the only thing that's been stopping me is AT&T's crappy service in my area. I had it up until June but couldn't stand all the dropped calls. I'm thinking of buying one and using ZiPhone to unlock it and stick a T-Mo SIM in there but want to know people's experience in bricking. I assume that when Apple releases a new firmware upgrade for it, I'll have a brick on my hands for some time. What does everyone else do when that happens? Do you go without a phone until someone comes up with a fix or do you just downgrade to the previous release and unlock it again? Seems like bricking could be a real pain. Thanks for your help.

hi, i went through unlock, activate and jailbreak. it seems to work, finds my carrier. i can receive phone calls, but i can't dial -- after hitting one number, it dumps me out to the home. when i check the Firmware version it says 1.1.2. any idea?

i accidently updated my iphone to 1.1.3
but because im not with AT & T. it locked me and cant read my australian sim card.
i did program...it said it worked however it still isnt reading my SIM.
please help, thoughts?

This is really fun to read. I'm in Canada, home of not having the Kindle or iPhone but now offering non-hi-def Tivo!

I'm a Blackberry Curve user and excited yet apprehensive about iPhone landing here legally or using something like this unlock.

I can't wait to learn how to type of the iPhone and I'm even looking forward to discovering which things about the iPhone will drive me crazy as a long time blackBerry user.

There are a few non-US posters on this board and I'm curious like they are to learn more about jailbreaking vs unlocking. A few people have suggested this tool will do both but that seems too good to be true.

Anyone here know enough to clarify this for a Canuck?

ok, i am a jamaican living in jamaica, hail to all things illegal : weed, unlocked iphones ect.

i bought the iphone on the net, about 2 months ago
it came with 1.1.2
last saturday i used the dev teams soft update to upgrade to 1.1.3
liked the features but lost all my apps
so i was sad,
smoked some weed
then i was glad
my wifi and edge stopped working, so i could not use installer

i tried to downgrade back to 1.1.2 using i tunes and did so successfully, with one small itch.
my phone was'nt jailbroken anymore, and required activation....

smoked !

then i went back to the drawing board, searching through internet forums untill i found you guys and zphone...

i down loaded zphone and bamm!!! pressed that button and it was unlocked,

but,

the keypad for dialling keeps crashing
i cant get my messages


I TRIED THE RERURBIH FEATURE AND NOW I GET A MESSAGE SAYING THAT MY PHONE WONT BE ABLE TO MAKE CALLS CONTACKT APPLE

Worked perfectly on an iPod touch with the following history:
-Bought it from Apple as 1.1.1, jailbroke by jailbreakme.com
-Stupidly updated to 1.1.3 by iTunes, losing all jailbroken functions
-Used ZiPhone and now it works!

I have a question. I am new to all this and need some help, and also some questions answered if poss. I was in a mall the other day and this guy recomended ziphone, this guy had all kinds of cool stuff. I was also wondering if i do this, and i have to take it back to apple for some reason, and i restore it back to the original settings is there any way that they could find out what i did? and the last one what do you mean by jail time? any answeres would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for all your help.
