TWC on a roll in San Antonio: three more HD channels added
For the second time in the span of a week, Time Warner Cable is upping the HD ante down in South Central Texas. Shortly after subscribers in the area received Weather Channel HD and FOX Business HD, along comes word that TLC HD, The Science Channel HD and Animal Planet HD have now surfaced on the EPG. If our abacus is operating correctly, we're counting 45 high-definition channels for you folks now. Got any to you wouldn't mind loaning out? [Disclosure: Engadget is part of the Time Warner family][Thanks, Cephalexin]

Ugh??? I live in san antonio and I woke up the other morning with Discovery Channel HD as well as the others listed why was discovery HD left out???
Being from San Antonio, it's great to hear that TWC-SA has been slowly rolling out more and more HD channels. But for those of us who have a Tivo Series3 (or other Cablecard-based setups), this story is all too familiar; TWC may have 45 high-definition channels, but thanks to SDV, we're only be able to watch 12 of those channels. I know there's hope on the horizon (Q2 2008), but this waiting game is driving me nuts.
wheres the love for the neighbors to the north? Austin would love science hd :(
I live in an Apartment complex that ONLY allows Grande. I get a grand total of 12 HD channels. I can't believe I pay as much as I do for thier crappy lineup. I wish I could get TWC there.
45 HD Channels. Only if Laredo was that lucky. We're only getting 7HD Channels and we're just 145 miles south.
and another of TWCs test markets gets a boost. Maybe when they start to provide the same level of service across all their markets, and not just concentrate on boosting the features of a handful just to make it look like they are trying, then I'll give them a little round of applause.
At least with satellite they provide the same level of service to whoever wants it. You don't need to live in an area they consider more important.
