Guitar Hero Carabiner keeps those fingertips calloused
If you (for whatever reason) thought the Air Guitar Rocker spotted at CES was the next best thing to Guitar Hero itself, you've got another thing comin'. Debuting at Toy Fair 2008 in New York, the Guitar Hero Carabiner takes thrashing to an entirely different level, albeit a much tinier one. Yep, this 7.75- x 3-inch device features a minuscule LCD screen, integrated speaker, five gloriously colorful buttons and a loop for clipping onto your knapsack (or similar). Additionally, the neck itself collapses down to make the entire thing just 4- x 3-inches for easy portability, and best of all, it can be yours for the low, low price of $14.99.

What's the point of the neck on this thing, anyway?
So that it is shaped like a guitar, thus giving them a chance to market it as part of their more established franchise.
Silly thing.
I guess it also gives people a chance to crack Viagara jokes, too...
Cool! Now I can be a Guitar Hero out in public without having to go to Best Buy.
Now if you could only USB new songs to it from the ps3.
Now my wife's cat can rawk out right next to me! (Coming soon to lolcats!)
But will it play the theme from Doom?
Or better yet, the sound of a blender.
They sure are taking liberties with the term "Carabiner."
I'd pay a few more bucks (10?) for 1GB of storage for new song/game files...
Speaking of which, any word on the current song selection for this thing?
"Pocketful of Sunshine" - Natasha Bedingfield
"Little Games" - The Yardbirds
and the more obscure bonus tracks:
"Push Button Click" - Push Button Pete
"Rainbow Love" - Don Gibson
"Little Bit of Glory" - Dave Cartwright
Also, see the DDR Max Mini game by the same manufacturer featuring Elton John's "Tiny Dancer".
(So very sorry.)
Spent some time on that one did ya?
Wait, how does this work in bgreyscale? "Quick, hit gray! Awesome now hit gray! Rocking, hit gray again!"
Spoken like someone who has never played Guitar Hero.
@Fred: You caught me, I've only played/owned GH2.
@Ray: What are you talking about?
Err, I meant @Taylor, screen scrolled down and I saw the wrong name. Man I wish this place had an edit function..
Patroites suck you should know that since they lost the superboul
Wow, when Activision said they'd be monetizing GH to the maximum extent possible, they weren't joking.
Next thing: GH cereal with little marshmallow guitars.
I'm actually surprised that hasn't happened already. After that, the GH Saturday Morning Cartoon.
That would totally happen if it was still the 80's. Everything had a cereal back then, from Bill & Ted to Mr. T.
Course I would just buy a box and never eat it for collector's purposes.
Can I get a larger screen? And how about an HDMI port?
Wow, any one else notice how amazingly hard the song they are demoing is?
This just in: Guitar Hero officially sold out. Reports say that Activision is the one to blame and that they are going to push it even further, but how much further? More details at 11. Later we will have your weekly outlook on how MTV will continue to exploit Rock Band with Rock Band TV on MTV2. But now heres your DDR Traffic report. Well it looks like the DDR highways are virtually dead as everyone is addicted to GH3 and Rock Band, there seems to be some movement but nothing that will seriously effect the series anytime soon, back to you bloggers.
