Quickorder app would keep iPod touch owners hooked on Starbucks
You're already well aware that Apple and Starbucks are buddy-buddy on at least some level, but this application would really cement their friendship. Quickorder, as you can probably imagine, would enable iPod touch users to swing by their local Starbucks, order up their favorite drink and avoid a good deal of that always questionable human interaction. Granted, what you're peering at above is still a mockup for now, but it's brimming with potential, no? Hit up the read link for lots more pics.

first of all what the heck engadget, you didn't even mention the source for this, do you even know who made these ? to the above comment, this was posted awhile ago by gizmodo. but still engadget could have properly accredited the actually creator of these "mock ups".
Phil Lu of http://www.genoco.com/
god you suck.
Abuzar: "Steve Job didn't include MMS on the premise that MMS is a gimmick, but they decide to release this, which happens to be a bigger gimmick."
Apple has nothing to do with this.
They didn't 'release this', as you so stupidly claimed, and the guy who made the mockups didn't release it either. (Mockups are made-up drawings of something, they're not real, they're made in Photoshop, etc.) - understand yet?
Learn to RTFA. That's short for *READ THE FUCKING ARTICLE*. Or at least the summary. Don't jump into knee-jerk reactions just because you have a hate-on for Apple.
This is to limit Apple users' discomfort in everyday social interactions. Let's face it, if they're not bellowing on a "discussion" board or talking about Apple products, they're not terribly good in social situations. Most of them can't even order a simple cup of coffee without discussing the superiority of a simple consumer choice like laptop or cellphone manufacturer.
Go ahead, prove me wrong by NOT talking about how great Apple is in your responses...
This is,by far, the GAYEST THING EVER. Also, its equally sad, it really makes me worry about my generation....as my grama used to say:-"what you need is to suffer a war"...everytime I used to moan about something when younger...true
This is ridiculous. Is it really THAT inconvenient to spend the extra 1-3 minutes ordering your coffee from a flesh and blood human? Granted, it looks nice, but this is entirely manufactured need. The trend in technology is to distance us from each other more and more for the sake of so-called "convenience". At what point does convenience override being a normal, sociable human being? Do you need to feel so condescending that you can't bother yourself to speak to the person earning min. wage to make your coffee because you're too lazy to do it yourself? It's a gimmick.
Add the Maps features so that the iPhone/iPod Touch can locate you and identify the closest Starbucks. I can't believe that Starbucks won't create this software itself, along with a lot of other locally sited businesses.
I Want 20 Large cappuccino,and make it snappy.lol
Hmmm a Potential prank app anyone? Could be useful.
