Verizon grabs Michael Bay, coaxes him to campaign for FiOS
Not even a fortnight after DISH Network snagged Frank Caliendo to push its satellite TV service, and merely hours after Michael Bay was caught speaking out for Blu-ray yet again, it seems that Verizon has found a way to get the aforementioned filmmaker to plug its wares. More specifically, Mr. Bay will be an integral part of the fiber carrier's "This is FiOS; This is Big" campaign, which aims to demonstrate how FiOS "is the best and first choice for home entertainment." We know, most of you out there will do just about anything to avoid an ad, but if you're curious about this particular one, feel free to head here and take a peek.

Verizon need to shoot their employment agency, ...........that's like hiring hiring Mike Tyson and putting him in charge of the "Sexual Etiquette & Ear Transplant' departments.
Guess they are targeting the "douchebag" demographic, cause this guy fits the bill.
I hate this guy.
Really his movies are not good. If shit didn't look good when blowing up, there would be no reason to watch his movies. In fact, if shit isn't blowing up, I am fast forwarding through his movies.
Nice pick up for the FiOS advertising campaign. I don't know why, but Michael Bay seems to have gained a decent amount of 'HD cred' as a result of his Blu campaigns.
lol beat me to it. "well apparently he can singlehandedly win the format war, then imagine what he could do to fios!"
although your comment was very ambiguous on the sarcasm, if any
I won't lie, that is a pretty awesome ad.
And yes, I am going to hell for that one.
Oh, and as a FiOS Internet subscriber, I can verify that it is, in fact, awesome.
As a disgruntled comcast customer I can verify that in fact comcast sucks worse than any of the cable providers out there along with time warner cable.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you for your suffering. No-one should be forced to put up with Comcast for internet access.
I live in houston and comcast took over for time warner last year and its still shitty after they raised the rates and said they were investing in the system.
The scientific atlanta 8300s hd dvrs are the worst ever I've had like 10 of them when you record hd it records it in a bunch of increments then erases everything but like 7 minutes. Also theres a problem with HD on the like 10 hd channels we get the sound skipping comcast came out twice and the Hd channel the sound still skips on them.
This is what the dvr looks like and what it does.

Damn that sucks.. My experience has been the opposite. I'm in the Houston area and have had TWC for at least 7 years and I've yet to have a real issue with them or the service. Hell after Comcast took over the internet speeds are even higher. True I'm not too happy about the rate increases, but my old ass SA 8300HD is still goin strong after all these years and has had no problems what so ever. Oh and eff Michael Bay.
The one in the living room is still working fine but we've had it for like 2 years, I took back the one that ive had nothing but problems after receiving new after new after new so i'm using the qam tuner to get hd channels.
They need to get in more markets if they want to compete with the big boys
What a total sell out.
He is not a good director and with his craziness around the Blu-ray stuff, comes off as a nutcase zealot.
Why anyone actually listens to him is beyond me.
I hate Michael Bay's films (aside from The Rock), but I love this commercial.
Now if I could only get Fios in my area!
i can see the commercials now...
"comcast will die a slow death... look at these explosions from my films aren't they awesome! you know they will look bad on comcast that's why comcast is going to die a slow death" and he will do a split screen of teh same explosion and over pixilated and just add artifacts to the comcast or other cable providers signal and fios will look flawless and compare fios to blu-ray.
oh the millions I could have gotten by doing his work with very very little effort.
Michael Bay Sux
Instead of spending money on Bay and his commercials, how about they give most of us the ability to even buy fios...
I think this video explains it all...
