Elmo Live breaks it down on video, seems too smart for his own good
We were warned that Elmo Live was pretty much a full-fledged robot, but we can't say we envisioned this. This critter sings, dances and does a decent job of freaking us out with his innate intelligence. Seriously, you've got to see it to believe it -- good thing the video's just one click away.

Yes, that he did. Be afraid, be very afraid.
Funny enough i'm watching Terminator 1 now. Imagine an army of Elmo Live stomping human skulls and ripping into meat-bags while doing Jazz Hands.
Elmo Live > Pleo
yeah but Rabbit from Monty Python/Holy Grail > Elmo Live
Furby. ahh. Fuuurrby. he he he fuuuurbby. fur. byyy.
Will It Blend?
If not, the human race's days are numbered.
It's a peripheral set. Processing is done elsewhere.
Means no.
Waiting for Elmo / Pleo Smackdown...
Available soon from Ebay scalpers everywhere.
From the way he acts while telling the story about the giant, it's apparent that one of the emotions Elmo is capable of feeling is "abject terror". I welcome that in robots.
I think the presenter that is showing off Elmo is really creepy. He sounds like the 'Ask a Ninja' guy, or a mad scientist.
Where are the strings. there gotta be strings.
Why? It's digital.
Oh yeah. "A world without string.. is chaos."
Oh, this thing has so got to die...
Is it just me or does the guys voice sound like the "ask a ninja" dude?
Hey, any one remember the movie AI with the robot teddy bear called a "super toy" it would seem that we are getting close to having those in a few years, just perhaps not as smart.
I need to see it do Thriller Dance.
I dont know if anyones said this yet or not but...
How many batteries will this damn thing take... The newest Elmo already takes like 7 batteries and last a couple weeks at best with generally little use. The new live will probably take a 12v dc car car battery and last 3 days max.
Either way, I cant wait to get one for myself, er... I mean, my daughter...
Oh yeah,
No matter what they do, Skynet will never fail to be come into existence...
u guys have it all wrong, elmo is 3 laws safe!!
I remember when the Cabbage Patch doll was so in demand. Now it's Elmo. If I ever see the Cabbage Patch dolls go into robot production, I might as well cut my throat. Anybody remember Teddy Ruxpin? I'm surprised that thing hasn't been retooled!
I'm basically saying that as long as you've got somebody out there marketing to kids, these things will be the first wave of robotic dominion. Never mind transforming bots with weapons. The Elmo dolls will get in your way, trip you down a flight of stairs, and break your neck.
Why was the thing teathered? Was that to control it or just for sound output? Will it blend?
