C64 games coming to Wii's Virtual Console
Just when you think all of your nostalgic fantasies have all been fulfilled, along comes Nintendo with a little extra joy for your retro heart. That "little extra" in this case happens to be Commodore 64 games for your Wii. You read that correctly, people -- C64 games are headed to the system's Virtual Console, starting with International Karate and Uridium, which will run you 500 Wii points apiece. Right now, the rollout appears to be taking place in Europe only, though we suspect it'll head over to our shores sooner rather than later. While you're waiting for that to happen, maybe now is a good time to exercise your digits and polish up on your IK trash talk.

I just hope they release a virtual "Fast Hack 'Em".
So the real Wii graphics are unleashed!
AHOY! With Readable assembly language!
I love the idea of bringing back out some of these older games. But here is a question for those C64 lovers. Why not have them release a nice productivity app from the C64 archives such as the whole GEOS windowed GUI environment. Lol. Now were talking!
* Missing Wizards of Wor, BC, Jumpan, Jumpan Jr., LodeRunner and a crap load of others I want to play now. *
MONTY ON THE RUN. I'd buy that for my wii if only to hear the FANTASTIC music by rob hubbard - and it's the only c64 game i ever actually finished. LAW OF THE WEST was GREAT, so too almost any game by andrew braybrook. PARADROID, URIDIUM, to name a couple. Spent many nights playing DEFENDER OF THE CROWN. And what about BARBARIAN - the 2 player sword fighting bliss of chopping off heads was just too much fun. Leader Board - the first 'wow!' computer golf game. How good was that ?
I agree with a previous poster, I would happily pay $5 per game now considering the shelves of 5.25" pirated C64 floppy discs I owned.
Monty On The Run (best soundtrack ever!) & Boulderdash - PLEASE!
I love the C64. I bought one in 1984 and have always loved the games like Microprose's Airborne Ranger, Gunship, F-15 Strike Eagle, Silent Service and more. I currently play these game/sims on a C64 WinVice Emulator on my PC and they run great. I hope they all return on the Wii.
