they are innovative when they need to be such as iphone , multitouch touch pad on notebooks.

A screen less ipod is quite limited in the possiblity to innovate. What can you do to a ipod shuffle. If it is not going to improve the overall function of the ipod(be able to listen to digital audio) why add extras that are not needed.
