Well, about half a year ago my Micro Photo crashed while trying to upgrade the firmware. Went back to the store with still a year warranty on the player. They made no problem there and told me to pick a new one. Luckily, the Zen 8gb just came out and I went for that. I only had to pay 1euro for it. :p
And I totally love the thing. The Voice Recorder works great (good for doing interviews), the sd slot is a great extra (I always carry my camera with me, so a backup storage media), the screen is wonderful and has a nice feel. The encoding for video files is a joke though, but I don't use that very often so screw that.
Just an overall very good player, no freezes (yet, knock knock), but I think I wont be upgrading the firmware very soon. ;)
The whole line-up consists of the $60 Amps in-ears and $100 Tracks on-ear headphones, which both also come in slightly souped-up and pricier HD variations at $100 and $130, respectively.
