the blue ray o.k they one the war. its too expensive to start off. 30 euro for simpsons when ur kid is going to drop it and break it. it players cost 500euro. now the answer is not to go out and get a playstation 3. I bought it sucks o'k it but does play dvds good. I sold it to get my 360 back. cause it has loads of games and is amazing. o.k the ring of death is bad Ive been lucky and it never happened to me so Im ok. roll on make blue ray cheap and we'll change over
Hey look. More overpriced Blu-Ray players. Guess I will have to keep using my $89 HD-A3 for my HD-DVD collection and to upconvert my SD collection.
Somebody wake me up when Blu-Ray players are less than $100
Yep, prices did go back up.
Wait... the 350 doesn't have 1.1... but it has 2.0? That's messed up.
I don't want a blu-ray player with all the bells and whisles i just want one that is cheap like 100 bucks smiple.
does this play bd-r discs or is it blocked like the other BDP-S300 series?
Now the prices are free to go up again.
BD 2.0?
I guess this beat 1st generation $1000 players
this war ended to early, the way it was going players would have hit the $150 mark by the end of the year. as it stands now bluray has no reason to lower the prices and wont....
who looses
Who pays $500 bucks for a freakin DVD player?
Anyone able to get their HD TV to even work with HDMI ? My friend and I are having issues getting anything to work.
I picked up one of those el cheapo DVD upconverts with HDMI the other day for $50. But guess what ? The el cheapo DVD player with the HDMI port isnt compatible with my Sony HD TV HDMI port apparently.
I guess I have to buy the $500 DVD BluRay to get it to work ? We arent the only ones either, the interenets are filled with people having my same issue.
Word to the wise - Before you buy, make sure the HDMI on your DVD/BluRay whatever actually WORKS with your HDMI HD TV.
This is BS. Early adopters FTL.
Wow... the format war went on for so long that I thought people would be more educated about the topic. There really are some seriously ignorant posts in this thread (either ignorant of just butt-hurt HD-DVD supporters).
We should all boycott Blu Ray (what a stupid, stupid name for a format) until the players WITH BR 2.0 are $199 or less; and then, only rent from Netflix until the discs are less the $20.
Any update, anyone, on the release date of the 350?
