Pleo gets older, wiser with Life OS 1.0.2

If Pleo's holiday behavior mode left you thirsty for more, chances are the first bona fide update to its Life OS won't disappoint. Version 1.0.2 enables your dino to explore its surroundings more, engage in fits of singing when encountering groups, and hear erratic noises when sleeping softly. Of note, UGOBE promises the update won't change your Pleo's existing personality, so apparently, there's nothing to lose (but more spare time). Go on, hit up the read link and start that download -- right after you tell Pleo to expect a treat, of course.

You know, I really want this thing to do well, but I just don't see too many people dropping $300 on a toy with the economy heading South.

Maybe if they gave it an Ultimate Fighting Robosaurus combat mode or some potentially lethal offensive capability, Ugobe might do better. After all, military contracts are what has kept iRobot afloat the past couple of years.

I couldn't log in with my account either. However, we finally got it going and when you unzip the file on the SD card it creates a folder. I didn't notice the instructions saying anything about this, but I found the only way to flash the bios in Pleo is to move the contents of the folder to the root. Strange. Is it any better after the flash? Beats me. Pleo just likes to sleep even after the battery charge. He also makes a lot of baby noises.

Hmmm I'd guess the vista one will be constantly asking you questions about EVERYTHING, and the osx one will do an interesting dance but not talk to you about anything of substance and keep a lot of secrets? Then they'll see each and square off... ROUND 1... FIGHT!!! There can be only one...

Of course the REAL question, is what would happen if you popped Life OS on your PC?! Woe betide those who wakeup their pooter for work when it hasn't had enough nap time... or is feeling a little grumpy :p
