We have a set of 20 MacBooks in our Art classroom and one of the batteries had been faulty. While the battery was being replaced (it took a few weeks...or something) my friend had to keep her assigned MacBook plugged into the wall (as it lacked a battery) and it got disconnected multiple times... So this could potentially have a use...Even if such events are rare.
