Why not build a display into the washing machine / cooker? That way the little ladie could carry out vital cooking / cleaning and still get to watch the soap operas. It'd also get the missus out of the living room long enough for me to play on MY xBox360 which is connected to MY hi-def 40" screen. Grumble grumble...
Brave talk indeed. Based on this we can readily assume that your misses does not follow Engadget. Is she too busy cleaning the toilet, bath, kitchen etc?
As to the viability of your suggestion, I do believe that LG and Philips both sell Fridge/Freezer combos with build in LCD displays.
It reminded me of those 1940s/1950s-style "informational videos" that are incredibly offensive today. Like the sexual harassment training video from Family Guy. Priceless.
