Keepin' it real fake, part CXIII: the Blade Runner MP4 player doesn't make calls, retire Replicants
Like peanut butter and jelly, oil and vinegar, and Benny and Joon, some things just go together. If you thought the words "Blade Runner" and the industrial design of the RAZR were always "meant to be," your day has finally come. Enter the Blade Runner MP4 player -- the PMP that looks like a phone, but acts like far, far, far less. The device has lots of familiar media player features, but let's be honest: all the information you need about this baby is up in that photo above. Own the magic today for $49.99.

From the real link:
"Attention German buyers: we cannot ship this item to the Germany"
There must be alot of dissapointed Germans out there!
imacmatt09 @ Mar 11th 2008 11:23AM
No there's probably not gonna be any disappointed Germans. I'm sure they have enough sense to not want trash like this.
technophobe @ Mar 11th 2008 11:28AM
I think it was fairly obvious that my post was sarcastic
also it is possible that people may want a dap/pmp that is not an ipod
mdm-adph @ Mar 12th 2008 2:21PM
jesus, what is it with some people? how did they lose all sense of humor?
technophobe @ Mar 11th 2008 11:15AM

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Lithium-ion batteries on fire off the shoulder of some poor dude. I watched electronics knock-offs glitter in the dark near the Chinese warehouse gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to buy a real RAZR."
johngadget @ Mar 11th 2008 11:22AM
i guess there arent that much many replicants over at Germany
y3k.nik @ Mar 11th 2008 11:28AM
I believe I am the first one to say this...
looks like an iphone knockoff
AlphaTeam @ Mar 11th 2008 11:34AM
"looks like an iphone knockoff"
Definitly =D
Bryan @ Mar 11th 2008 1:52PM
what... it doesn't even look like an iPhone. If you're saying it's an iPhone knockoff because it does media... then you are equally wrong, since even the free phones you get with a contract do media. A cell phone knock off, sure, but where the hell do you get iPhone from? In fact, it was made quite clear that it is a knock off of a razr, and the picture supports that.
y3k.nik @ Mar 11th 2008 2:35PM
@Bryan
Ever heard of sarcasm, or are you totally devoid of all humanly contact except engadget?
AlphaTeam @ Mar 11th 2008 11:33AM
In other words it's a POS. Why bother?
mister_s @ Mar 11th 2008 11:38AM
but wat actually happened here? dying moto mobile unit sold the extra razr casings that they had lying around the plant? or did they get robbed?
initialxy @ Mar 11th 2008 12:10PM
it ripped off someone else's design but it still doesn't even look sexy
Primolevinas @ Mar 11th 2008 12:22PM
Well, actually i am one of those Krauts and for your records: I am not interested.
PhilxBefore @ Mar 11th 2008 12:59PM
It doesn't look like it flips open.
Whats the point of having a phone-looking PMP?
"Hey sweet car!"
"Nah, thats my toaster."
wootman @ Mar 11th 2008 1:19PM
meh, there are way better cheapo Chinese players.
i wonder, are they trying to sucker people who are buying razers (i
PhilxBefore @ Mar 14th 2008 3:52PM
Apparently, the Chinese suckered you into a cheapo PMP that has no warranty or refund policy when it stops functioning 3 weeks later.
wootman @ Mar 14th 2008 4:41PM
actually i dont own them, i was talking about a 60$ player i found with a SD card, NES playability, and a 3 inch screen.
