Chinese LionKing800 cellphone claims 1-year standby
We have no way to confirm the claim, nevertheless the LionKing800 boasts a remarkable 365 days standby or 3-5 days talk. The source of that power is a 16,800mAh lithium battery -- that's about 10x the juice of a standard cellphone battery. Take that Philips! As to the rest of the specs, the GSM900 / DCS1800 dual-SIM phone costs $145 and packs a 3.5-inch, 320 x 240 pixel display, 256MB of microSD memory, Bluetooth 2.0, and a pair of rear and front-facing cameras into a 120 x 65 x 20-mm shell. Wrong wrong wrong! Ignoring the fact that a Li-On battery that size
would have to break the laws of physics to hold that much energy and
pretending it's much bigger, here we go...
So... 2438w / 24hrs = 101w average for an hour...
101w / 120v = 0.84A draw
It's a 3.7v battery, so 120 / 3.7 = 32A draw to produce 1A at 120v
32A * 0.84A = 26.88A draw on the battery to produce 101w at 120v, would be more in a real world situation due to loss in the inverter...
It can do 16.8Ah so it'll be flat in 16.8 / 26.88 = 0.625, just over half an hour!
I very much doubt the battery could withstand a 26.88A draw for long or even provide that much so it'll probably explode if you tried too :)
But will it blend? With the battery.
now all we need to do is trick our friends to test the battery by sticking their tongues onto the terminals. I think ~16A will kill you :)
This is not a Verizon phone they only last about 15 minutes before having to head to the charger
Hakuna Matata
not quite, I just don't have good memories on China products, although we're using it everyday....
really, I really won't believe that it has that kind of capacity. must have a problem...
wut if its microAh instead of miliAh that would make it 1/1000 weaker.
P.S. a battery this advanced would cost more than 145 USD itself...
lets wait see if it lasts a year...day1...day2....day3...week1...BOOM... honestly thats a true weapon of mass destruction..
wow! china is the best :D
look like a dual sim phone
i guess thats a approx 4000-5000mah 3.7V which is possible
putting that into acct i bet it consumes more juice than philips 9@9 series. The 9@9 can survive 1month triband with a 700mah i guess this lion king can do it with 1200mah so its more like 4 months. Although exxaggerated, i do believe 4 months is possible.
This is not news, the phone is not new. it's been around for at least six months.
Did anyone see the picture?, see the battery indicator? it's half empty so it must have been in standby mode for at least six months... 8-)
We need a battery like that one for the PSP.
It'll probably take 3 months to charge, hehehe
LionKing? A year on standby? It must mean no worries for the rest of your days.
*Drum Roll + Cymbal crash*
Well done, sir!
