ASUS keeps things tiny with NOVA LITE Mini 2L PC
Granted, the Nova P22 is probably small enough for the vast majority of folks, but if you weren't feeling the aforementioned machine for whatever reason, here's another option. The NOVA LITE Mini 2L measures in at 9.09- x 7.24- x 2.00-inches and weighs just a few raisins more than the X300 (3.3-pounds for those taking notes). Apparently, this box was designed to simply "meet everyday computing needs" while keeping noise to a minimum, and ASUS has three lovely flavors for you to choose from. Packed within, you'll find up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, an 80GB / 160GB hard drive, a DVD burner, Ethernet, WiFi (on select models), built-in speakers, four USB 2.0 ports, DVI / VGA and audio in / out connectors. No word on a price, release date or any of that pertinent information, unfortunately.

I never was an ASUS fan.. but they are starting to impress me with their innovation.
( not their quality control )

well, that post was "I (heart) my MacMini"... but its early, and throwing brackets around is stupid.
billmao @ Mar 20th 2008 1:34PM
It's ok, the message you ended up sending is more meaningful than what you intended to type.

Dear engadget writers,
As you are an internet medium and people from all over the world are reading this site, would you please include metric measurements?
Thanks.
Simon P @ Mar 20th 2008 12:14PM
You're kidding right? Perhaps they should translate it into Yiddish while they're at it? Take 2 seconds to go to any of a million websites and do it yourself.
Andrew @ Mar 20th 2008 1:27PM
The read link has the dimension in metric units, as it should (being on a global Asus site). Engadget translated dimensions for the blog post but didn't bother posting the original metric ones. Really, who even uses inches other than the US?
tacticus @ Mar 23rd 2008 4:58AM
"As of 2007, the U.S. customary units remain the last widely used official non-metric system of measurement as besides the United States only Liberia and Myanmar have not adopted the International System of Units as their primary or sole system of measurement"
How's the company Usatians?
ManoloDF @ Mar 20th 2008 12:27PM
1 inch = 2.54 CM so aprox 25cm x 18cm x 5cm
Patriks7 @ Mar 20th 2008 12:33PM
i hope this will be a cheap machine :x
if not ill wait for that eee desktop pc..
i need something to replace my desktop which is HUUUUGGGEEEE..
infact all i use it for is downloading so something that is quiet like this would be nice too :D
jmd @ Mar 20th 2008 12:50PM
if this thing is actually anywhere enar affordable, I think it would be a great replacement for that unsightly p4 tower and CRT in the corner of your parents house. A cheap LCD and this would go a long way in the eyesore factor.
antoni.mazur @ Mar 21st 2008 9:08AM
No bluetooth?
treacherous @ Mar 20th 2008 2:10PM
Viva la SoftSled? Awww... crap.
This really would make a great little Media Center Extender if SoftSled existed...
AC @ Mar 20th 2008 2:32PM
Any chance that "2L" is meant to be read as "tool"?
JohnH @ Mar 20th 2008 3:23PM
ClubIT has it listed here:

E6320 Core 2 Duo
More power than the Via C7. Nice size.
TRAFFICBLOWS @ Mar 20th 2008 3:34PM
I wish ClubIT had a picture of the side with the ports. Why do sites forget that picture........?
RagaBaSH @ Mar 21st 2008 5:36AM
Your link is for the Asus NOVA, not for the Asus NOVA LITE.
I do assume that the CPUs would be more of the ULV kind, since the packaging is smaller and cant handle as much heat as its bigger nephew.
I'd go for the PX24, WLAN, HDMI, 4x USB DVI/D-SUB. and a classy touch sensor for ejecting the disc from the optical drive. (if only those things would not break :))
Ryan @ Mar 20th 2008 5:21PM
Wow, one of those would be awesome for my desk.
Mark @ Mar 20th 2008 6:50PM
This would make a good HTPC...if it had a decent video card..
tumnasgt @ Mar 20th 2008 7:46PM
This looks identical to an Acer SFF PC i saw here in New Zealand, maybe Asus are making the ones for Acer
