Even happier ending for "cleaned" Xbox 360 owner: Gates-signed console arrives
Remember that dude Nathaniel whose highly sentimental autographed Xbox 360 console was sent in for repairs and returned maddeningly clean? Turns out he didn't just get a signed Halo 3 care package. Even more swag arrived this week, including (among other things) an Xbox 360 with signatures from the 360 team and Bungie, and even Bill G himself. Yeah, that Bill G. And we can tell you exactly how damned hard it is to get the man to autograph stuff, the last few times we saw him we asked him sign our chests -- no dice. The G-man's infamous signature after the break. Us? We're closing the book on this one -- well played, Microsoft.

Bill Gates' Writing has always been bad. Perhaps it's related to his Aspergers Syndrome?? Either that or his handwriting just sucks :P
or perhaps i'm just tired because people are whining that engadget reports too much about Apple, then when they aren't jumping for joy about a service pack which they've admitted to having for ages, they get slammed for being koolaid drinking MShaters etc.
I didnt actually mean to do that, I capitalised the h instead of the i by accident iLol
this was supposed to be a reply to the replies on my (further) above comment. But apparently clicking reply doesn't always reply. Sort it out Engadget
This rules, ugly, but very cool of them all to hook the guy up. Note To Microsoft employees: "Wash My Signature off ... and You're Fired"
Signed,
Bill Gates
@iB3nji
HE DIDN"T ASK FOR A THING!!!! they just hooked him up for a bas mistake. Did you read the original letter he wrote?

Quoted for truth.
It may as well say "Stick this up my ass and smell it when you're done." It's an MS piece of shit.
hmm... if i was him id try to auction it on ebay.... that thing could go for 100 grand or something... maybe more....
id id also lock it in somewhere safe... buy a safe box dude....
wait...whos eamon mckenzie and why does he share the same last name as me??
I think my favorite part of this new 360 is the Mister Chief saying "Wash Me."
(MISTER Chief, not MASTER Chief; there's a difference, folks!)
Oh, and having Bill Gates himself sign it is cool, too. Not everyday you get the signature of a corporation's co-founder. :)
I bet it RRODs, he has to send it back in, and the cycle repeats itself... That would be hilarious.
Engadget, why isnt the other side here, perhaps the best!

WOW.
Does it also come with the signature blue screen?
Was this actualy signed by the Red vs Blue staff?
(Sarge, Church, Simmons, Tucker, Grif, on back side)
It's interesting that Bill signed the faceplate, considering it can be removed and replaced/sold/etc. I understand the thinking behind it (probably) that it's on the front, and is most visible, but come on...
That was awesome, go Microsoft... I guess they still have some good people after-all.
I totally love it!!!!
It is so awesome, you are the luckiest gamer alive
Wow... I would treasure that xbox for a few decades... and then sell it in an auction house.
That...is the most amazing (and hilarious) Xbox 360 I have ever seen. Nathaniel better protect this one.
Also the "Dont lose this" has an arrow pointing towards the hardrive. I wonder if the guys at Microsoft gave him more surprises...in digital form.
wow, glad to see bill g still cares
Smash it with a hammer now!!!
My brother is part of the XBox team and he says he didn't sign it... I'm getting him to verify if it's really Bill G's signature. I think it is! (And yes, it does look like a grade 2 kid's signature)
hawtness!!
Wait til it get's the ring of death.
Yeah... just so everyone knows, while Bill Gates did give 20 Billion dollars to charity, it was to the "Bill and Melinda Gates Fund", which Melinda (His wife for the uninformed) is chairwoman of. as such, she can withdraw 2% from its funds every year, or a paltry 400 million dollars. Also, Warren Buffet has planned to donate another 40 billion to this. that being said, he's an amazing man and the BMG fund has done wonderful things in South America, Africa, and the Middle East
Well done Microsoft. +100 XP for you!
Impressive.
I wanted Billy-G to sign my Vista Signature Edition.
It looks like a 5 year old just learning cursive wrote it. :P
That's pretty sweet. I was doing a search to see if my ebay ad popped up. (Just won an Asus laptop autographed by "the man" himself).
That's something that I honestly might just keep for my own collection though. Killer!
P.S... doubt this will stay up (and can't really blame ya) but here's what I just acquired
