Onda's VX767 PMP is a nice slice of sexy
Sure, most fullscreen players end up looking roughly the same -- some more than others -- but we like the direction Onda has taken its 4.3-inch widescreen VX767. The player can show off RM, RMVB, FLV, AVI, MOV, ASF, MP4, WMV, 3GP and MPG video on its 480 x 272 LCD, and includes support for TV out. Audio codec support is less impressive, but there are games and lyrics along with voice recording and FM radio to keep you occupied. No word on internal storage or price, but you can slap in a 32GB microSD card if your wallet will allow.

are they trying to advertise that its also splash proof?
I was going to comment on the exact same thing. That's a feature worth noting since I use my players @ the gym.
However, I think it's got too much dead space on either side (horizontally).
somewhere out there there a landfill full of discarded pmp's, pvp's, etc. The market is flooded.
Yeah, flooded with the same old iCrap. Bring on the codecs!
mmm .. wet. this is kinda turning me on.
you might want to talk to someone about that. ...doesn't sound healthy.
I like this kind of thing. It looks good, it's got good features and they're usually not too pricey but one thing: Where oh where do they sell them?!
China
well if u want to buy 1 online u can check some wholesalers like http://www.mp4global.com/ , they'll prolly be the first ones to get em . I recently got my vx747 from them, it came intact with everything, the only things I don't like about the vx747 are that u can't zoom into pictures( I MUST have that for my manga, but some new firmware might fix this) and that it's a tad small, but it's awesom e since I don't have to convert any of my video's:)
Check www.allpmp.com they are usually the first ones to sell all those new chinese marvels. I'm waiting for them to have them and buy my own.

Double Post FTW!! Just kidding buddy :)
*thinks if he'll get "Highest Ranked"*
You certainly won't, Ameen.
I like it. It reminds me of the LG Prada in it's design.
Yeah, bad call with the random water droplets. Is it an all-in-one PMP/Pepsi?
Put an Apple logo on it and everyone could slag it off!
from the article: supports mp3, wmv, wav, ape, flac, and "other audio formats" - hopefully that includes ogg
advertised battery life 40 hours audio / 10 hours video - great if it comes anywhere near that
Reminds me of another companies product - can't quite remember what it is though. Some kind of fruit I think.....
you're the fruit.
I will second that.
I third that
Dr. Pavlov, -- oops, I mean, @supermeerkat, -- who let the dogs out?
I most certainly am not a fruit, as my wife and two children can testify. I think that Riggs and his little gang are seriously fruity individuals who hope to hide it by loudly accusing others.
Chill out guys, he was just pointing out his view. I think it looks like and iPod touch as well. I'm not going to bash it and say "its crap because they copy Apple!!1!!", though. Its just an observation.
"I most certainly am not a fruit, as my wife and two children can testify."
Fruit can reproduce as well you know. >:(
But is it waterproof? Lame marketing if it isn't.

Not a bad little player! Too bad we probably won't ever see it state-side.
I'm a little concerned that you didn't think the audio codecs were that impressive. The thing supports FLAC! Granted, it doesn't support other free codecs, like AAC or OGG, but still... at least it's got FLAC. That's something! It does list "and other formats", so who knows what the final product will support.
If it supports the LYRICS tag from FLAC files, I'm sold.
Rich support of the game? Which game? Does that mean only rich people can play games on it?
Lovely except for the fact that it doesnt brings A2DP BLUETOOTH !!!!!!!!!!! I would have bought it otherwise. Loved the 32G micro SD, far better than the 16G of the new walkman (this one brings A2DP though)
yummy, APE and FLAC format for audio, RM, RMVB, MP4 and 3GP for video is all I care. :)
definitely will try to score one for myself....
Why do all the new devices have to look like an iPhone?
No such thing as a microSD, and I seriously doubt there ever will be. Even if there is, this device will be long gone by then...
Of course, I meant *32GB* microSD.
wow! it's as big as the toilet it's leaning against!
does games mean NES emulation like on most of these?
and is there any likelihood of there being a DVR dock?

This particular model probably is not available there yet, since its so new.
That was supposed to be a response to Raheem...
Simplicity, this is what more products need.
holy crap resemble ipod touch much????

I just got mine today in the mail. I bought it from eBay. So far it isn't bad, but holy crap...if you don't speak Chinese, never hit the "Restore settings" button. Took me forever to get it back to English.
There are a few complaints. First, its not a touchscreen like the VX747 which kind of sucks. Also, there is no internal speaker like the VX747, so you have to have a headset plugged in. Also, if the headset is plugged in all the way it fails to make proper connections to the stereo taps on the plug and you get "mono" sound. So you have to carefully pull the plug out just a hair to make it connect right. I'm thinking of gluing a little washer on the end of my headset to help alleviate this issue.
The video quality is excellent and the sound is very good as well (minus the problem above). One big issue is that when you plug it in to charge, you have no way of knowing when it is fully charged. There is no indicator light or anything.
The interface can be a little confusing as the buttons on the top sometimes do the same thing, sometimes don't depending on where you are in the OS. Same thing with the power, menu, and back buttons. I think they were trying to make it so its easy to use if you are right or left handed, but it ends up being goofy and confusing. Also, the radio function doesn't seem to have a way to program in your stations. You have to "scan" to find them all and delete the ones you don't want. This will really suck if you take it on a trip and want to use the radio...or if you travel between states like I do. You can't just program in your favorites and go.
Can't comment on the battery life...as I said, I just got it today and its charging now...who knows when it will be fully charged though. LOL
