Just sent in a Sony DSC-300 under warranty back for repair and Sony said that the camera isn't covered because the damage is corrosion. Well the camera is less than 60 days old and has never been in water or near water. I guess I have one of those $400 paperweights also. They want $182 to fix it....I haven't even paid it off on my credit card. This is my second one of these. The other works OK but the battery life sucks and red eyes are there no matter what you do. I won't buy another Sony.
While its tablet world topping pixel density, Tegra 2 silicon, and fresh to death OS certainly sound awesome, we had to get our grubby mitts on one to see if it's as good as its spec sheet would have us believe.
