Don't you
dare say
green wasn't
already in
style, as in all actuality, it's US Cellular and Alltel following the crowd yet again. As the run-up to CTIA 2008 continues, the aforesaid outfits have both announced that a lime green variant of the Motorola Q9c will soon be on their shelves. Aside from that, prospective customers can also snap up the WinMo 6-powered Q9c in licorice, and of course, they'll find a 1.3-megapixel camera, 2.4-inch display and 128MB of onboard memory. As for pricing, you can call Alltel's version your own for $99.99 on contract, and while US Cellular is being mum on the subject, both providers will have 'em available "this summer."

It may have many pictures but did they have to choose such an ugly design? If it was blue I could live with it, but green is just barf!

God the Q is a flaming piece of shit.
When I was reading that letter to Moto's board/chairman last week, I kept hoping somewhere in there would be (and don't get me started on the fucking Q) lol.

The Q is a flaming piece of shit, but the q9c is a completely different phone. While the Q was the worst phone I have ever owned, the q9c is easily the best. I think mine only has 64 MB of memory.

Why is Q a POS? I love my Q! Though I don't think I'll be getting the baby sh!t green version.

Every Motorola I have ever owned (three) has suffered from software problems/issues and poor design. Each time I have persuaded myself to get one, I have ended up regretting the decision.
I'll pass on any more Motorolas, SonyE and Samsung are my manufacturers of choice.
That said, I can't fault the looks and I'm sure the colour will appeal to some.

To each his own. Every Moto I've owned has been superb. There have been NO software issues, but then again, I have a carrier that doesn't impose their own UI on you forsaking the manufacturer's supplied one (ala Verizon).

Sometimes i wonder why is there an Engadget Mobile?

That's Limetastic.

The green and silver look on this isn't bad. It's the snot green on white for the Sprint Centro that really bites.
eric f. @ Mar 31st 2008 11:44AM
i'd never buy the device, but the green doesn't actually look half bad.
Anyone else think it's very "Xbox Live"??
ashley927 @ Apr 1st 2008 12:56PM
the Q itself is horrible, but i dont understand why everyone thinks the green is so ugly- it is just different from the standard. it stands out.

Another yet very good example why the company is on the verge of extinction

I dream of a world with far less black, grey, silver-coloured items...and tacky gloss textures and silver/chrome accents.
I dream of "business" products actually being coloured in so-called "childish" colours.
The colour green is a positive step towards this world.

I love my Q, slvr and razr. So far they have been perfect, hell my slvr works fine after falling out of my pocket while doing a wheelie at about 62mph.
Motorola phones FTW
Dr. Evil @ Mar 31st 2008 3:01PM
My Q9m works perfectly. The new keyboards on these Q9 are excellent. There have been rumors that Verizon was getting a Q10 but I guess not :(

Is there any practical way to add wifi capability? Does the SD card slot support it? Thanks guys.
