Dell is crap. There's nothing special about the materials they use. I bought an M1330, exchanged it FIVE times for defects, and when they realized they couldn't provide me with a proper machine, I just returned it.
Dell's a bad choice as it is, and from the looks of it, it's only going to get worse.
