T-Mobile snags the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 on April 14th
April 14th -- just like we expected, that's the date T-Mobile subscribers will gain access to the WiFi totin' BlackBerry Pearl 8120. Unlike AT&T's offering, that's WiFi for voice and data thanks to T-Mobile's HotSpot @Home service. EDGE data, 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5-mm headphone jack, SureType keyboard, and microSD / SDHC expansion for your multimedia round out the specs quite nicely. Now all we need is the price, right T-Mob?

looks like a good upgrade from an old 8100 thats starting to crash. any news on what sort of memory it'll support up to?
Wow, I actually clicked on it.
See, now if the original post hadn't been deleted, people would realize how funny that comment and the one you made after it were.

Oh well.
Twice.
Okay, quick survey. Does anyone actually like SureType? I, for one, cannot stand it.
After owning a Razr for ~3 years (and texting the snot out of it), I picked up the Pearl via T-Mobile a week ago. It took about 48 hours of constant typing to get used to it, but I'm converted. Much more intuitive, I don't have to sift through options as it picks my word 95% of the time, just a good time saver.
They're not going to release the price until you drop the magenta. They're serious!
*churns Rumor mill*
I heard they weren't going to switch on 3G....
To trust a post on April fools day or not. That is the question. lol
Wait, didn't we all agree that we're gonna be boycotting their asses?
Why the hell are you giving Deutsche Telekom press?
does this on at least have gps?
hey t-mobile your logo on the bottom is grey, my car from 1980 is also grey.... see you in court.
It says in the article "unlike at&t with wi-fi"... The 8120 is Wi-fi! it doesn't matter what gsm carrier has it..
Old news... I've had an 8120 on O2 in the UK since December... The phone's great!
@DARKASKNIGHT
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think if you read the entire sentence, engadget meant that the wi-fi on this version is for data AND voice (T-mo has a service similar to Vonage, etc. called T-Mo @ Home) and that "unlike At&t", which the wi-if is only good for data.
At least that's how I understood it.
Yes, that is what they meant. AT&T's WiFi does not facilitate VoIP
Looks like it will be coming out at a $150 price point .. at least that is my reading of their contest rules & regulations over at http://secure.lenos.com/lenos/maritzcanada/Pre/RIMPearlNextGeneration/rulesregulations.htm
"Approximate retail value $150.00"
