MobiBLU launches the Cube3 towards Earth

You'd think that after three whole versions of the MobilBLU Cube, the company could get itself off of .mac and onto a real server -- but you'd be wrong. Regardless, the Borg-ship-aping media player is back, this time sporting a whopping 2GB of storage (just enough for those 14 LPs you own). Of course, you can't beat its support for MP3 and WMA files, compatibility with PlaysForSure content, FM tuner, and shiny, happy OLED display... or can you? We're not completely sure, but if you want to get to the bottom of this mystery, grab one on May 1st for $99.[Via Engadget Spanish]

My post was simply an attempt at expressing my confusion over why so many people are amused by the same line, typed over and over again whilst alternating the last word on occasion to apparently add further amusement.
That said, I applaud mushrooshi for his somewhat original use of said phrase in this case that at least says something about the shape of the object featured in the article. To that, I say Bravo

Irony: they are operating on a .mac address, yet... wait for it... they have an iPod Touch ripoff on their site. Wow.
Also it supports WMA including DRM and they list their songs as 1000 songs *based on 4 minutes 64kbps WMA
64kbps is awesome if you're listening to an audio interview. from 1982.

not quite the same specs when it only has 1gb space vs 2gb mentioned in this article.
plus, I'd rather go for the semi-name brand with 1gb more space at $30 more, than pay for a no-name brand direct out of china... I've seen too many of those knock-offs not even work right...

How about adding support for microSDHC cards? That would move this thing over to the "maybe" list for me.
I actually have one of the MobiBlu B153's. While it may have only 2GB of storage space it has battery life that other devices should aspire to. The battery lasts for an entire week of nonstop tunes running off of a single 4 hour charge.

My friend had the original cube or awhile. He showed it off once, and I never saw it again. He now has an iPod shuffle
It sounds like maybe you all have never tried one of these little cubes. I have had one for a few years now and it is a cool little player. I use it mostly for audiobooks. It's not a Mercedes, but it certainly isn't a Yugo either! Give it a chance.

I am on my 3rd cube (because I have upgraded twice) and wouldn't choose any other player. It's about form factor. The cube comes with a necklace type of earbugs. It is so small and so light that I forget that I have the darn thing on at all. Plus, I am not forced to use anyone's crappy software. What's not love?
