Could you please take your fanboy argues elsewhere? The people who reply to the first comment don't really seem to care who is the copier of who. We just want to love the reference in the post.
Seriously, I'm tired of this whole argument. Whomever(because i do not know which came first) came up with the idea of the slab with no buttons does not matter. As long as it does not 100 percent copy the iPhone, then it cannot be legitimately called a "knockoff". I said it before and I'll say it again.
It is a new cell phone design, not exclusive to one handset. I don't think that every phone that came out was called a knockoff or copy of the original candybar or clamshell phone.
It's the equivalent to saying to someone, "Hey! How dare you copy my simian ancestry! Get back on four legs! You're not wanted here."
It is simply your own prejudice against the iPhone that causes this rift to exist. I'm not defending the iPhone, just hear me out. If the iPhone wasn't here, this would be one of the lineup of new phones that use the "slab" design. However, since there is a huge fanboi rift on the subject of the iPhone, this argument exists that one phone copies off of another. The only phones that copy off of the iPhone are the ones who blatantly use the same software elements as well as hardware ones.
Seriously. Read what roe has to say down further. That is a good example of how people should be responding to this kind of release. "This is cool, let's see what it has to offer" instead of "I hate it because it uses the same design as an interesting product that i may or may not hate"
